Ukraine Banter Thread

There are definitely things that can spiral out of control in war. I think the big issue is, we don't need to be really dramatic or swing for the fences in the alt media universe to agree that there are substantial risks.

I think much of what we see put out is misinformation, meant to shape perception and mold thinking. It's strategic, and I feel like many who aren't on guard for that should be. But that doesn't mean we have to believe, for instance, that the US is engaged in designing weapons in biolabs that it sponsors around the world...although there's absolutely no way to know that for sure. It's just that without evidence, it's merely opinion.

Disclaimer: I don't have any super secret information.
This mindset is a double edged sword. Too often we see this mindset breed conspiracy theories because where nothing is "fact" then anything can be possible. This can lead to a vacuum that can be filled with whatever outlandish "truth" someone wants to full it with.

Sometimes the difference between conspiracy and the truth is time. Often times people don’t believe the truth because they don’t believe the source or they simply refuse to believe it.

Jessy have you ever heard of the preacher Jim Jones. You might find him interesting.

That's why we need to think critically and pay close attention to what has been said historically and what has happened historically and what is known presently about historical events that is different that what was being put forth at the time.

I respect that your at least open minded on about everything. Instead of saying something isn’t true you’re at least saying it’s not proven or we just don’t know those things. That at the very least tells me you believe anything is possible even if you believe it’s unlikely.

I was thinking more like a freeze in Hogtown on July 4th ...

... but then ... nuclear winter I suppose ... according to the front page of that garbage ...

You know I have actually wondered how much snow we could get in the southeast with a nuclear winter. Might need a hazmat suit to enjoy it though

Jessy, please spend time with your friends or family. You never know if you are guaranteed the next hour or tomorrow with what's going on geopolitically. Your not going to change minds here and nobody here has the power to impact policy. I'm spending time with my family and friends as much as possible now. Even if Nukes don't fly, US basically sabotaged their own economy with sanctions. Thankfully my home country in Africa knows better to not pull that stunt. Thankfully, I got a exit plan in case things go south in the US economically. Africa welcomes everyone!

A African safari sounds nice. You don’t hear much bad news about Africa and there likely a reason for that
