I stayed up till 4 am here on the beach in EI. I slept right through landfall and didn't even wake up. I'm disappointed in myself.

Bet this is worse on the eastern facing beaches but on Caswell beach which faces south today the SW winds on the back side were doing a number on the beaches.

Only 2 or 3 feet but it's a washing machine pounding the beaches.

Just over 6” for the event, more than I was expecting, 4.84” today makes it the wettest day of the year so far and now over 10” for the month.

So, another NAM wind forecast bust! It ALWAYS forecasts higher winds than actually occur, for inland winds on tropical entities!
