Misc This Means WAR

I don’t think he is geared towards interests in Iran, but rather geared towards interest in the US and its security.

He's agreeing with Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz, a far right radical warmonger: Katz said “Israel is prepared to resume the war against Iran — We are awaiting a green light from the United States to push Iran back into a dark age”

What kind of sick wording is that? Also, the interests of the radical Bibi coalition leadership of Israel and the US aren’t one and the same. And I’m saying that as a longtime supporter of Israel in general. I don’t support the current leaders there. They’re way too radical for my liking and the dislike of those radicals leaders is also showing up in polls.

Maybe the fact that there is no negotiating with them and that they have screamed death to America since the 70’s.

Indeed, the evil Iranian mullah leadership has screamed death to America (and Israel) over and over and over. I get that part. But why sink to their level? America/Israel have a much better reputation than that regime. For Iran to say that is one thing. But not the US. although a radical member of the current Israeli leadership saying that isn’t surprising.

According to my friend, that kind of talk is turning off even some of the 80% who don’t support the mullahs. That’s not good.

About a year ago this time everybody was fearful about the tarrifs, fear mongering about how bad It was going to be. No it hasn't been perfect but we knew there would be an adjustment.. the point of the post is fear never really works out especially when you are just repeating what media tells you to say.

I'd say the tariffs are beneficial. It's not as if they aren't used against our products by others.

Addressing, not conceding to lol. We are being so played. This is like the Russians getting a note from Hitler on APR 271945 saying lets talk, and Stalin saying cool, lets have a fair deal for all.

Trump: Iran plans to submit a proposal aimed at addressing the American demands

We will break first

A WAR OF ATTRITION: TRUMP CAN PRESSURE THE IRANIAN REGIME — BUT THE OUTCOME DEPENDS ON THE WILL OF THE PEOPLEThe Trump administration has its boot on the Iranian regime’s most vulnerable point: the Strait of Hormuz. That’s their lifeline. Oil. Trade. Movement. It's increased pressure and therefore, we have entered into a new phase: a war of attrition.Who breaks first?

We will have to comply with Iran’s wishes to appease the American left

Sadly the negotiations arent over. They will go on and on and on and and on with us making concessions along the way to keep the terror regime in power

The time is over for negotiations with Iran's regime. The radical successors of Khamenei can never be trusted to keep any promise or agreement. Our Commander-in-Chief should direct his skilled military leaders to finish destroying Iran’s conventional military capabilities and eliminating any last remnants of their nuclear program. This is the only way to ensure lasting stability in the region.

And thats exactly what trump cant comprehend. Trump is used to supplicant republicans and advisors who agree to anything he wants. When he is dealing with Iran the Iranians dont give a damn about Trump's "Art of the Deal". Trump will not gain a single vote for reps in the mid-terms by compromising, howver he will lose votes on the margin from people who want victory.

*Memo to Iran's negotiators. Take a page out of Jeffries and Schumers playbook on how they forced Trump and reps to cave on DHS funding. Wait Trump out and he will eventually fold up.

Fear is what destroys nations. I got to spend some time in South America over the winter and when you spend time away from all of this in places spiritually aligned with nature it changes you not only mentally but physically. I spoke the other day about my ability to see patterns. When you step away from this rat race for any amount of time it blows your mind how easily you can spot the patterns, especially the ones you are trapped in that you couldn't see before

Why not sink to their level. Why do accords only seem to apply to us. In Iraq/Afghanistan we had to wait until we were shot at to return fire. Every other country/group has no issue with doing whatever it takes, maybe we should do the same in return. Just an opinion.

True. Wars arent won by being nice.

Every other country has no issue saying the equivalent of “send so and so country to the dark ages” or “destroy their civilization”? That’s not even remotely true and just saying that is a war crime to boot.

seems we are stuck in a stalemate. wouldn't be opposed of trump just getting everything over with and teaching them the same lesson we taught japan at this point
Lesson for what? Being attacked by US/israel?

Yah, let’s Nuke them to teach them a lesson not to want to protect themselves with nukes of their own. With an ally that has nukes but hasn’t disclosed to the international community that it has nukes. Makes no sense.

Once again Iran makes us look like stupid chumps. Leaving before we even get there shows once again WE are the ones desperately chasing a deal.

I'll tell you what's happening:The regime in Iran is getting comfortable. Yes, the blockade is crushing them financially, but they're assuming that Trump is hesitant to restart the war. They think they can simply outlast him until he gives up.They will now move to waste AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE, in the hopes that they can survive the blockade and come out of this alive. It's up to President Trump to read their game and give them a reality check.

Masterclass in negotiating by Iran. Well played

I'm sure this person really knows what they're talking about specially since nothing has happened in the last couple of days to even be talking about it.

There is a way to put an end to it. Win

Win "what" exactly? War termination isn't solely accomplished with military power. A political and strategic end is how ALL wars end.

Unfortunately the best hope we can get here is some sort of negotiated settlement that lets both sides save some amount of face. Despite the Congressional bluster there's slim ability of the US Military to defeat the Iranian forces to outright surrender. This isn't WW2. They're the largest country we've ever gone to war with both in land area and population. We can hit them a lot, but we threw very nearly the entire kitchen sink at them the first week after Trump broke the previous ceasefire. After they successfully implemented their continuity government plans and the military didn't fall apart, the cost the US would incur to defeat them militarily went into the stratosphere. We may have won a thousand individual battles but strategically the war was lost after that first week.

This current break in hostilities was as much a needed operational pause as it was a chance for negotiations. That 4 week or so run was about the limit of our high tempo force projection capabilities. The military is capable and professional but it can't perform miracles. Now the Chinese know the ballpark of what we can realistically do in a westpac conflict.

No it isnt how all wars end. Lincoln didnt beg Jefferson Davis to make a deal in Jan 1865. Lee surrendered and Jefferson was arrested and the only talking done was after a total surrender. In WW1 the allies forced germany to sign a surrender and only then did we talk, and the talk didnt include any German demands. In WW2 we forced both Japan and Germany to sign unconditional surrender and we proceeded to any talks after they surrendered. We hung many of them. Yes, in Viet Nam we quit and talked and that led to the total victory of the North 2 years later. We talked in Korea and our military is still there and the North is a nuclear power now. Wellington didnt talk to Napoleon before Waterloo and wanted a fair deal for everyone. The French were routed and Napoleon ended up dead on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere. Russia didnt beg napoleon to talk after he invaded Russia and was headed to Moscow. They fought, delayed, and ended up with 500,000 of Napoleons army dead inside Russia. Rome talked twice with Carthage and ended up in negotiated stalemates. Finally they were sick of talking and in the 3rd war they eliminated Carthage from existence
