Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t a dewpoint of 65 a fairly high for Phoenix this time of year

I mean it's monsoon season so i would think their dp's are higher this time of year.

Los Angeles is a semi arid climate that transitions to desert in parts of its metro . Los Angeles is huge parts of it are desert and other are semi arid, essentially a desert .

Like I said, Los Angeles is *NOT* a desert. End of conversation for me.

It's only able to get that hot out west because they have basically no humidity this time of year. Portland is bone dry for 3-4 months. So, this kind of heat is not that unheard of. Although, 110 would be a shattering record for them.

Climate change is increasing the likelihood and severity of extreme heatwaves (like the heat in the west this month). I plan to post more about this in the Global Warming thread shortly.

Pretty good look for storms tomorrow along the coastal trough.

If someone on the western flank of the in coming mid level moisture can hang on to stratus and some light rain it'll be a really chilly day

A more veered wind flow this morning kept the stratus deck just to the SE of the Metroplex. So we've had mostly clear skies so far, unlike yesterday when it was cloudy all morning.

Kamloops BC has 118 forecast for it , that would shatter the national record high for Canada of 113 recorded in Saskatchewan ! Hope it happens and they hit 120. Very exciting weather . Ashcroft BC has 119. These are places at 50 degrees latitude !

Yeah good chance we will get a big heatwave eventually , triple digits with high heat indexes and all. I hope so would give life to this summer . When that will happen I don’t know .
