Not sure we should trust the high res models of they are mesoscale. They may lead us strangely. At this point, let's just see what happens. It's nowcasting time .

If not, it does not bode well for this hurricane season. Almost like we flipped the switch on again after last year.

This almost seems like a North Atlantic storm late in the season

Great Q. No, all Hs are considered tropical. There are no ST Hs on record.

At 65 mph as well as at 994 mb, Alberto becomes the strongest May GOM tropical or subtropical cyclone on record since 1863!
