Not sure we should trust the high res models of they are mesoscale. They may lead us strangely. At this point, let's just see what happens. It's nowcasting time .looks like he has hit the brakes..might sit and loop for a bit...HRRR forecasting this nicely as well. Starts to get stronger as well, per the higher res models.

Must be doing something barocyclonically to strengthen. Cloud tops on IR continue to warm.
If not, it does not bode well for this hurricane season. Almost like we flipped the switch on again after last year.
