What even caused the crash today? The fed chair announcement?

I think so. I think the markets expected Trump to appoint a degen who would slice interest rates down to zero, and instead it's a fairly conventional pick. I imagine the reversal then caused a lot of longs leveraged to get wiped out. Insane to see this kind of volatility in precious metals!

Not sure if what i read what correct but 6 trillion was lost in market cap on gold and metal today apparently
