Yeah, it's clear Dabo is over the hill. Either adjust to where the game has come to (and I'm sure Clemson would have some rich donors, though I'm not sure who), or retire like Nick Saban did.

He'll probably make them fire him though.

The crazy thing is Dabo's not even that old. LOL

My take, the main difference between good and great coaches. Good ones can excel under specific conditions and even win a NC (like Dabo). But the great ones find a way to excel over time--usually over decades. That's enough time they have to pivot and innovate to keep winning. Gotta know when to be stubborn and stick to your system or change with the times. Sometimes a mix of both (I can think of a lot of examples of great coaches, but most of them are bball, I'm sure others can think of football ones)

I suspect Dabo would already be gone had he not won a NC. Gets tougher to pull the trigger once that happens. Clemson will do it though. They have always prioritized football compared to the old guard ACC schools on tobacco road.

The Clemson/UNC game is now under a weather delay with about eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter with UNC holding a slim 17 to 15 lead. All of Clemson's games have been delayed by weather this year. I guess the storm clouds that the fan base and boosters have formed over Dabo Sweeney are not the only storm clouds that are hanging over this Clemson team.

UNC was driving too. Who knows how things go after a long weather delay

How in blazes are Duke and Wake the best football programs in the state, again?? And people wonder why we concentrate on basketball up here?
