Urban Meyer fired!

Total train wreck of a tenure.

His daughter is mad as well:

Tiger Woods looked like ass today! Hit a couple of good shots and his son looks to be really talented! I guess him just being alive is a win. Always look at him and just think “ what could have been” . Heard them say he’s getting into the Hall of Fame in the spring!

Uh oh the ultimate GA being GA scenario has unfolded. The CFP committee has decided today that if a team has a Covid outbreak and the game can’t be rescheduled within a short time frame, that team will forfeit. Alabama will have a Covid outbreak and forfeit or loose to Cincinnati and then GA will have to forfeit to Cincinnati after beating Michigan.

Hahaha

There may not be a Gator Bowl. Texas A&M is having a COVID outbreak right now and they had to get out of the bowl game.

RIP John Madden. Loved watching old Raider movies/NFL films . "THE Autumn Wind" belive that was the name of that music nfl films played highlighting the 70s Raiders. Madden was greatest game announcer of all time. I dont even bother watching NFL, except maybe playoffs now days for various reasons. Give me HS and College Football. College Football in grave danger of being wrecked thanks to the mouse.

Going to be hard to beat the dogs twice.

Very, very, VERY severely doubt it.

It being hard to beat a good team twice in one season has already not applied for Georgia against a Nick Saban led team in the early 2000's.

Why should it apply here?

I doubt it will.

In fact, I'd probably say you see a 41-24...Alabama final score again for three straight games with the same final score.

This won't be a game that will be worth watching considering that it's likely that you see the same thing happen.

Dogs are very talented and will be highly motivated. Will take Bama’s A+ game to beat them again.
Georgia is already a 2.5 point favorite to win and most of the so called experts are going with the dogs to win again. Saban will like that the tide is a underdog again to Kirby. The conference championship game must have been a fluke in their mind.

Yea, if I had to bet $$$, I'd take UGA without hesitating (and that's no offense to Bama).

It'd be kinda cool if the Braves and UGA won championships within the same year.

I think the Dawgs are the better team and should win. My hesitation is that some teams, for what ever reason, just always seem to find a way to not get it done when it matters: NC State, Boston Red Sox (for years), Clemson (for years), Atlanta Braves (for years), Los Angeles Chargers, and the Dawgs, just to name a few. I don't know why that is. Pulling for them, though.

Boo!! ? Saban will find a way again to win. I just think Georgia doesn’t have a good enough offense to win especially if they get behind. They know what to do. I think this one will be a lot closer game. The point spread is about right.

Yea, seems like some teams psych themselves out when given the opportunity, and the pressure gets to them. Buffalo Bills come to mind back in the day. Lost Super Bowl 4 years in a row IIRC.

As an impartial observer, I hope your right. I'd love a close game--especially since none of the semifinals were even close.

My take on the NC game is this. Normally when teams lose the first and then win the rematch it is because the offense was shut down and some bad mistakes were made. Then in the second game the offense of the looser lights up the other team. In this case the team with the better offense won the first. It stands to reason unless GA can drastically change why they lost the first game, they will lose the second.

The big key for GA is they have to find someone else to throw it to other than Bowers. If they don’t it may get ugly.

Cowboys are a good team…not a great team. Dak is a good QB…not a great QB. He’s the highest paid QB in the league, the Cowboys overpaid for mediocrity.

They need a new FG kicker, he has missed several key FG’s.

I feel like Georgia's WR group is a little underrated now. There were definitely problems as recently as 2019 (with the play caller not being very good and guys like Tyler Simmons and Matt Landers having a case of the drops), but that hasn't been the issue when Georgia has stalled on offense since then.

Actually, I'd say 2019 has been the only year where there were issues outside of Kirby's first year. That 2017-2018 group was sneaky good. This group is too, there just isn't enough ball to go around. Jermaine Burton would probably be an 800+ yard WR at another school (and he'd probably have more stats if he didn't get hurt at the school he's at). He is a big play threat that has enough talent in which he can probably leave and get drafted at a respectable spot next year without an eye-popping year (although he'll have a shot at one if he can stay healthy).

Besides him, AD Mitchell and Ladd McConkey are good technicians that can also make plays. And George Pickens has been playing despite the fact that isn't a full year off his ACL, although it seems as if he isn't fully himself (which is no surprise).

Saving it for the bottom, the issue on offense is that if you effectively take away Bennett's first read, it can be an adventure back there. He played well vs Michigan, but it didn't really look as if he had to read to field much. Sometimes he has shown that he can read the field, but sometimes, he's a bit slow at doing so.

It's in 15 games, but this Georgia team might put up the 3rd most passing yards in their history. Crazy that Georgia hasn't had a 4000+ yard passer yet (edit: 2013 was the lone season above 4000 passing yards, but it was just barely, and Murray got hurt in that year), although I think that will change soon.

Assuming Carolina decides neither Darnold or Cam is the future, and that they get somewhere between the 5-7th pick, which QB should they draft?

Kenny Pickett? Malik Willis? Matt Corral?

Are any of these guys potential franchise QBs, with the potential to be elite within 2-3 years? Hopefully in enough time that McCaffrey is still around and playing like he is now (when not injured of course).
