Severe Severe Weather April 30th-May 1st

Well, last year's end of summer into fall was purely terrible watching no rain fall for months except for feeder bands from Hermine and Matthew. I would prefer rain now as well, but I would take tons now, and average later. Don't need a prolonged drought for several years.
Agreed. I got a lot early in the week but keep it coming at least building up soil moisture and the water table now would help if we do get dry. Unfortunately I think it's a warmer than normal possibly drier than normal summer though we may get a few more fronts than last summer

Even though it was still fairly hot, I'd consider October to be "fall" and outside of Matthew, I swear we didn't see one drop of rain the whole month.

Sunday evening is looking mostly linear here, with a few leading supercells possible. Local mets are putting the information out there that a few rotating storms "could" precede the squall line.

First tornado of the event and looks like a dangerous one on radar......
