Probably still would be if I didn't get a foot of rain in 6 days if you didn't notice drought is taking over the rest of the regionAnd you still were talking about drought! Smh .
Yeah the heavy axis was really narrow had a few people in the office giving me crazy looks when i said I had a tstorm from 2-430 this morningThat was a super local cell last night looks like on the wundermap. You get north of downtown Fuquay and there was next to nothing
Except for Debby and this unnamed system this week, drought would be a big story for more of the Carolinas. Except maybe I-95 east in NC.Probably still would be if I didn't get a foot of rain in 6 days if you didn't notice drought is taking over the rest of the region
The drought continues to get worse over much of the southeast, except for most of the Carolinas and Mississippi. North GA, southeast Tenn, and north Alabama are the worst. Francine helped out in other parts of those states, along with Mississippi, but did not end it. It's out of our area, but it is getting really serious in parts of West Virginia and Ohio. D4 drought up there.

We are on the wet side so far, due to those 2 systems I mentioned, but the next 10 days do look dry for much of the southeast.
Only hope for rain looks like the tropical systemLooking very dry through the entire 14 day run on the GFS for Atlanta.in the mountains again? I hope not.
I'll be surprised if nobody in Georgia gets rain from a tropical system over the next 2 weeks.Only hope for rain looks like the tropical system
Yeah, if that misses much of the southeast is dry for the next 2 weeks. I don't look for a real chance outside of tropical systems either for a long time from GA and Tenn back to east TX. I'm afraid we have a 2016 repeat incoming, over a larger area than that year. The Carolinas have a decent chance to avoid it, especially from Columbia to Charlotte and east.Only hope for rain looks like the tropical system
