I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on the covid vaccines, but the older ones such as the polio vaccine work.

The first spending cuts should be eliminate paying members of congress after they are out of office. A bunch freeloaders lecturing Americans who actually worked for their money is pretty special

Wrong. He BARELY won the popular vote and may be going to lose the House until new members can get elected. A speaker Jefferies will not give Trump any of the stupid stuff he wants.
 
Pay for congress should be at the level it was at when we had a balanced budget and no raises for them unless we have a surplus.

I literally ended it when I asked to which office Mr. Blood Diamonds was elected to serve for the next four years.

All this because Elon is a ---- dad and his kids called him out on it.

Elon isn't in this for the love of the country, he is in this totally for himself.

In fact, honestly I'd have to say his taking the red pill was purely as a middle finger to Biden for him not inviting him to an event that involved Ford/etc, and having the regulatory authorities all over him. I think the seeds were planted in 2021 here, and I can say personally I started getting sick of him before the rest of the left did in 2022.

No, I wasn't really truly aware of him pre pandemic. My only real source involving stocks outside the Internet is my dad, and while he will do tech, he has never been interested in Tesla.
 
This is the standard confusion the democrats seem to have. I don't care if Elon is out for himself. I don't care if you like the guy. I'm not scared of big egos or personality. Not one billionaire on this earth doesn't have one. The fact is Elons businesses are based on the success of the American people. If our government devalues our dollar then his businesses fail.

It's very much the same as Trump. I actually like him a bit more than 8 years ago, but I'm not looking for a friend or role model for my child. I'm looking for action on topics important to me, that's it.

The American economy is broken and the Goverment spending is the number one issue, you can whine about the personalities chosen but the issue remains the same. Inaction is no longer acceptable.

Just do not take money from the elderly and poor to cut the spending. You can cut plenty by cutting off the Ukraine funding.

Then maybe go after some true wasteful spending like the unnecessary stuff that is put in these bills just to gain votes. I'd imagine there is something there for all 435 house members, with maybe only 75-100 of them truly needed. That's probably close to 100 billion there.

The free market would likely provide similar services, but it will be pay to play. An entity does it, shows it, you pay for it. If there is enough of a market for it, it will happen. If not, then no.

There's the problem. Having to pay a fortune to get something we get for free now, like access to this board for example. The NWS needs to be left alone. It is one of the few things the Govt does well.

It has not become worthless yet. Cuts need to be made, but not to the things that help people and that work like the NWS. Just fix defense for one thing. Do not cut troops in the field but fix the problems inside the Pentagon itself.

Same caliber as saying replace the fire department with private forces. It's public safety and should not be touched and should always be funded by taxpayers. It's a fair system that works in the interest of our entire nation.
