Yes, it is.
First and foremost, it's awfully arrogant of them to tell
@SD and @Salt what to do with their site and how to run it.
Second, things such as weather forecasting, storm chasing, storm analysis, etc. will all still be happening even if the NWS were eliminated.
Third, Project 2025 (which, BTW, Trump has yet to endorse) doesn't actually call for the elimination of the NWS. It only calls for the organization to engage in data-gathering services (we an only speculate what is meant by that) and commercialize its forecasting (which is already happening in some form).
As Florida braced for Hurricane Helene, some weather and politics observers were mad about Project 2025.
