If the Senate doesn't pass it, government shutdown it is. What was in the old bill that died, thankfully, was a literal Schumer/Democrat wishlist of more wasteful crap, including global economic forum funding, a 40% pay raise for Congress, millions to research some absolute useless crap. One huge 1500 page last minute cram job of useless pork.

LOL almost nothing is changed except it gives Trump 2 years to spend as much as he wants....Trump calls the debt ceiling unnecessary and muses that it should be eliminated....this after crying about how horrible it was every time it went up under Biden.

It is not going to get that far. They will shut the Govt down possibly all the way to June and then default on the debt. That will bring the entire world down and will bring on a 1 world Govt. The one thing Trump voters do not want.

It is DOA. We will shut down, possibly for a VERY LONG time. A default is very likely too.

It's not just Dems to worry about here.

While I initially thought the bill was fine (and BTW: to be honest it doesn't look much different from the first one outside of what was done involving PBMs/China, only significant difference is the debt ceiling), it doesn't look as if it's happening.

And you take a look at this and really should be wondering if whether you're going to see many changes at all out of Trump v2.0.

The nitty gritty of my post was missed by you.

The main point is that some Republicans don't support this bill either and you can't afford to lose that many votes.

Maybe something changes tomorrow, but as of now, I'd say this bill is dead in the House, and would question if it can even get out of rules, because there are 2 no votes on rules.

Yea, the 10 nos would tank it. hopefully the nos are primaried.
 
Everybody's saying Democrats going to win in 26 because of this probably can't even remember the exact year of the last government shutdown. It's all just propaganda and will be forgotten about in a few months.

Not this time. This shutdown may last 6 months or more and if it does the US is done.
