Presidential Election 2024

I'm still reeling over my righteous indignation over the attitude taken towards Matt Gaetz's allegations before referred to as bitching lol

I asked this question before but I'll be more specific. What MORAL failings would Trump or any politician on side would have to commit that would be enough for you guys to withdraw your support? No policy stuff, just morals alone. This isn't a set up for a gotcha or anything, I'm actually morbidly curious. Like is there anything Trump and his camp can do/be accused of doing that would be too far for you guys or are we totally at the point where it all doesn't matter anymore as long as they have the right politics?

Why the hypotheticals? Why would any of us want to waste time on the thought process? The fact is people are rather numb and disinterested from whatever the side says that calls Trump a fascist dictator, and then invites him to the white house for tea and donuts. We see this for what it is, a mockery and a joke. We have 8 years of policies and procedures to choose which ones we prefer for the country in which we live. We don't lower ourselves to mainstream media talking points and hypotheticals. Here are things that are open for discussion:

  • Cabinet picks
  • Foreign policy decisions, Ukraine, Israel, Iran, etc.
  • Open border, immigration policies, etc.
  • Funding bills, tax policies,
  • Ballot harvesting, voter ID requirements, etc.
  • Healthcare policies and proposals

Things that matter.

Just answer the question, considering you guys are happy to waive off SEX TRAFFICKING ALLEGATIONS again a potential member of Trump's cabinet, I'm just trying to gauge where you guys stand on the morality of politicians you support. This isn't about policy or who's a "fascist" or "socialist", I've never called Trump a fascist once. I'm asking about morality

He must have already done a lot of terrible things because I saw on the news where they called him Hitler

Just curious, who do you support and what makes them morally acceptable to you?

They don’t care. It’s all tribalism now. Anything good that happens next 4 years will be Trump. Anything bad a result of Biden years.

They just want their guy in no matter his faults. There isn’t much more to it than that.

I don't need to have an opinion on morality of politicians because their morality has no effect on my life personally. I do not care. If they break the law, convicted, they will be dealt with in accordance of the law. I think we've come to one of the root problems with this level of thinking.

My personal opinion is that most politicians stretch the system to their advantage, take underhanded deals, do coke off of strippers anuses, and I could care less. Just run the country properly.

Back in 2012, a slightly insulting Mitt Romney statement made in private cost him his race against Obama during the peak of backlash against him.

Nowadays, you can be a convicted felon, a sexual abuser and can hire other sex pests and unqualified yahoos to your cabinet and people think it's fine.

This country is legit cooked lol

You do realize the picks districts are in generally very red safe zones...
Not safe when its a special election where the party in power does poorly. Not only that but the NY election wont take place till nov 2025. Its unclear when FLA will have its elections. Worse news is another rep seat is in danger of flipping in CA. Its very possible it will be 217-217 with Gaetz's seat vacant and when Stefanik and Waltz resign it will be 215-217 dem with 3 seats vacant. There is no choice at this point but to rescind the job offers to stefanik and waltz

Convicted felon: crimes that cannot be defined, never before charged, and likely will be thrown out after appeal. Propaganda to manipulate people, proof here that it worked.
Sexual abuse: Trump has never been found guilty of sexual abuse in a court of law. He was found liable in a civil court in which laws had to be changed to even get it in the courtroom. More fodder to manipulate the public, case in point.
Hiring of sex pest: I’m not sure what a sex pest is, but in certain areas and regions prostitution is legal.
Unqualified cabinet positions: one’s opinion

The only reason Trump has all of the aforementioned things done to him is because he doesn’t bend the knee to the cabal that actually runs the country. Had he done this the first time none of this crap would have ever been. The cabal doesn’t care about political parties or social issues. They want their “approved” candidates to get the funding passed for their business interests, MIC and PIC.

Let me ask you this. If 35 year old congressman Gates ------ your 17 year old daughter would you want him as AG? Please answer with what about x.
Problem here is, years of investigation lead to no charges being filed. Info is "sources", no actual proof, which I hear you guys harp on all the time. Not one of us in here would be ok with a 35 yr old having sex with a 17 yr old, don't care who's daughter it is.

Trump can do no wrong according to plenty of people on here. That is NOT the way things should be. We need to go back in time on this kind of thing, back to when Gary Hart had to end his bid for President over an affair. That should be an automatic disqualifier today, along with what the awful Matt Gaetz has done.

We need major change in this country, like silencing the far left and far right like what happened to Alex Jones today. If that happened maybe we would get some sanity back in the USA.
