Presidential Election 2024

These people are insane, so her brothers served and this makes her more qualified to serve on the military personnel panel. Pete himself actually served. They just don't get it and continue to post headlines and one liners catering to low information electorate.... except they've already lost 😂

FULL REMARKS:HEGSETH: There's a chance to course correct it, but, it would take the new a new Trump administration going after it really hard.RYAN: How would they correct it? Well, first of all, you got a fire.HEGSETH: "You've got to fire the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and obviously, to bring in a new Secretary of Defense, but any General that was involved, General, Admiral, whatever that was involved in any of the DEI woke sh*t has got to go.""Either you're in for war fighting and that's it. That's the only litmus test we care about. You got to get DEI and CRT out of military academies. You're not training young officers to be baptized in this type of thinking. And then, you know, whatever the standards, whatever the combat standards were, say, and, I don't know, 1995, let's just make those the standards. And as far as recruiting to hire the guy that, you know, did Top Gun Maverick and create some real ads that motivate people to want to serve.""And there's lots of other ways in which you could identify who gets promoted and what. But there's an ethos change, I mean, there's a reason we're not, people don't want to serve because they don't trust that their senior leaders are going to have their best interest in mind in combat.""I know there were mistakes made on our tours all over the place. But I, at least for the most part, had a sense that my senior leaders were committed to the completion of the mission for the right reasons, and maybe there were strategic differences and all that other stuff. And it wasn't always perfect, but now that trust is broken. And you have to reestablish that trust by by putting in no nonsense warfighters in those positions who aren't going to cater to the socially correct garbage."The remarks were made in an episode of The Shawn Ryan Show released November 7.

Now granted, Pete is not my favorite pick.

But if you listened to Dems and the MSM, you would think the man had no military credentials what so ever and was always just a TV show host...

Seems you either accidentally overlooked or intentionally ignored the edit to my earlier post, but I'll re-post it once more so that others don't fall for your continued disinformation...
I didn't see it, my apologies. Also, you have more faith in local politicians in certain states not choosing to look the other way when it comes to violations of the CRA and the ADA than I do. I wish I had your optimism

Those laws give the FED authority to hold discrimination charges/allegations accountable, FYI.

EDIT: And it's not about being optimistic. It's about being factual.

You forget that a big part of the GOP plan on education is to bolster private schools which aren't held accountable by anti-discriminations laws...

Now that would be an issue, if it came to fruition. I agree.

EDIT: Albeit, that's with the caveat that those private schools don't receive federal funding (some of them do).

This is already a thing in the south, there are tons of private schools that were set up in the '60s and '70s that served to combat desegregation. If the GOP's plan comes to fruition, I'm legit scared that public schools in the deep south that are already mainly funded by local taxes, which is an issue considering the poverty levels of some of these regions will be torpedoed while private schools that are inaccessible to certain populations will be bolstered. Causing a education gap in the population based off of economical and potentially even racial lines

I mean, the dude on the left oversaw the most disastrous withdrawal in American military history, allowed Chinese spy balloons to fly coast to coast over the United States, allowed decorated servicemen and women to be other than honorably discharged over the COVID fiasco, and then went AWOL.

Let's stop acting like the guy on the right is just a news host and not a graduate of Princeton and Harvard's School of Government and Public Policy, with 20+ years of military leadership experience with multiple combat tours and awards.

If anything, this pick to me proves Trump's lack of faith in current and recently retired generals not being compromised by the likes of Northrop, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Lockheed or some DEI cultural initiative with 3rd party funding.

I say this as a veteran with no political leanings. We need to get back to focusing on the mission. We set the military standards that every other country is chasing, then we lowered those standards while our foes pressed on. If we do not recalibrate, and do so very soon, China will pass us.

I don't know how much I can trust RFK Jr. due to his unique takes on other issues but I hope his plan for these foods isn't an outright ban.

An outright ban would be a nuclear option, but best believe big companies will have to be dragged kicking & screaming to produce these items with less harmful ingredients, because their cost of production will skyrocket.

True, and we as a consumer will likely pay more. I’d rather shell out more and know what I’m eating. Only drawback being it’s another funded government agency to monitor this. 😢

Why wouldn't you want a ban cancerous foods? That makes no sense and short-sighted
I'm telling you, if the Trump admin has food items such as oreos, mountain dew, ect. banned. Kiss his popularity goodbye lol. Also, the fact that alcohol and tobacco, both proven to be way harmful than junk food are still legal and probably won't be banned under a Trump admin will be an oversight.

That is assuming RFK Jr. is 100% right about the ingredients of these foods, which I doubt. Either way, these foods formulas can be changed and an outright ban is unnecessary.

He isn’t banning Doritos , just components . Very good thing though you should probably cut back on Doritos anyways
