Presidential Election 2024

Newt Gingrich is a co-contributor on Fox and a great Speaker of the House. What's your point, aside from the fact that the phrasing of the tweet sounds like a clever gotcha?
Right, he's not just a co-host of a news show. Typical click bait

You probably thought the same in his first term until he fired them all.
First term, he had a lot of uniparty neocons blocking/hindering his presidency and/or just not up to the tasks/standards.

Biden’s administration are full of lackeys that can't do one job (Mayorkas, Garland, etc.) and are somehow still employed for now.

Chuck Shumer: "...a word of caution to GOP, do not misread the will of the people" and speaks about needing bipartisanship. What a joke haha. These people still think they're the smart ones and we're idiots, the hypocrisy is comical
Funny coming from a guy that proudly captioned his frozen burgers with cheese on top on a grill. Schumer needs to go learn some basic burger skills before talking about will of the people stuff

Genuine question, if the government spends too much? Why don't we just cut down on the military budget just a tiny bit instead of dismantling entire departments? We already have the largest military in the world, we are unlikely to ever see a conflict reach our shores, why do we need a nearly trillion dollar defense budget?

I don't think anyone here disagrees with that.

As a follow-up question to you, why did the Democrats fail to reduce military spending the past 4 years?

And don't come back with *rUsSiA* or *PuTiN* or *aLLiEs*, because that will prove your question wasn't actually genuine...

We'll wait...

Not to be that guy but do you really think a state like Mississippi or Alabama, or other states struggling with poverty will really do any better than the federal government will? All getting rid of the DoE will do is allow states to discriminate against certain groups, screw over the disabled, and pretty much end things like pell grants that help kids access college.

The right needs to get over their fear of the federal government

A learning opportunity for you.

Pell Grants predate the DOE and exists because of the 1965 Higher Education Act (thanks again, LBJ!). So no, ending the DOE will not "pretty much ended things like pell grants."

As far as the other stuff, that can all be enforced via. the Civil Rights Act (if only Biden was half the president LBJ was, am I right!?) and Americans With Disabilities Act.

The main concerns with the DOE are not the concerns you raise, but the fact that it will make it difficult for the FED to enforce a unified curriculum across the country as well as research/collect data on students. And I am against dismantling the DOE, for the record.

Glad the 4 star general is gone

These people are insane, so her brothers served and this makes her more qualified to serve on the military personnel panel. Pete himself actually served. They just don't get it and continue to post headlines and one liners catering to low information electorate.... except they've already lost 😂

Too many on the left just put out headlines and even more don't do the research so they just believe the rhetoric. If the vast majority of the younger generation really did their due diligence, they'd see there wasn't as much to fear with cutting the DOE or other Fed departments as far as that goes

And I don't even support dismantling the DOE (albeit for different reasons).

But yeah, all of the disinformation that's being spread about it, thanks to Neoliberal.propaganda, is also too much.

It still wouldn't change the fact that the already wide education gap between states will widen to the point where the deep south will pretty much be a frickin' third world country compared to states such as California

Also the lack in federal oversight will allow for discrimination against certain sects of people but I imagine a lot of the people here wouldn't care about that stuff. Also the DoE is legit apparently only 3% of the budget, so it wouldn't even lower taxes that much if at all.

Seems you either accidentally overlooked or intentionally ignored the edit to my earlier post, but I'll re-post it once more so that others don't fall for your continued disinformation...
