One of the symptoms my mom has is the inability to move past things. She gets it in her head that something happened or is happening and she gets locked onto it and it comes up in every conversation at some point.

I see this is in trump at times how he goes back to meaningless "wrongs" he believes have been done to him.

In fact while my mom has some memory issues her dementia manifests much more in delusions and paranoia. False reality and ideas becoming fact and theres even a hint at that with trump.....i.e his inaugaration crowd.....he continues to belief it was bigger than it was and constantly brings it up.

I think one of the last times I face timed my grandma, I got something like this as well now that I'm thinking about it. I think me and my mom would try to talk about a few different things, but she just focused on one thing. Then I believe the last time before everything really started to hit the fan, we saw her focusing and stressing about cleaning.

Oh and...

.

So yeah, rambling is apparently an early symptom of Alzheimer's at a minimum.

I say let em burn.... they'll be begging for police soon enough
Sorry Mr. Mayor but your white self hate isn’t at the level we need it right now. We’re going to have to ask you to leave.

If I were at that rally It would actually feel good knowing the mayor of my city wasn’t a complete dumba**. I mean it doesn’t take much brains to know that defunding the police is not only a toxic idea, but a really really stupid one as well.

My grandfather, my moms dad had it bad to. The long winded stuff was really bad with him and also with my mom. My mom gets talking and I might spend 30 minutes on the phone just saying "yeah" "i see" as I cant get a word in. She might say bye and launch immediately into talking again. It is what it is.

There was a letter that was sent to Congress 6 months ago. Notice the part about delusions.......that's why I say he reminds me of my mom. She has delusions and she believes them no matter what we tell her.

She told The Independent that Trump appeared to be "doubling and tripling down on his delusions," based on his "ramping up his conspiracy theories" and "showing a great deal of cruelty and vindictiveness" in his "accelerated, repetitive tweets."

"I believe that they fit the pattern of delusions rather than just plain lies," she said.

Trumps advisors basically ignored him when he demanded 10k regular army troops moved to DC, then they went and did this.....I suspect Trumpy will be firing people soon.....at some point 25th amendment should come into play....

Just like CNN, MSNBC, etc. predicted for two years Mueller was going to "get" Trump, it won't happen. Trump has control of DNI, CIA, DOJ, with a ruse going on with the Pentagon. Just like Washington Post, Politico, etc predicted terrible economic data Friday and it turned out to be an economic miracle in favor of Trump. With prognostication stats like these who would listen to those who keep promoting Trump's downfall? He's overcome a coup attempt, false testimony against Supreme Court pic, pandemic, race riots. He'll win overwhelmingly in Nov. He's the law and order candidate now. By the way how do you feel about a Dem candidate who can't complete most of his sentences?

This is sickening to see. Their mayor, who was rudely told to leave the rally that he was there to support and who the speaker threatened to not vote for for reelection, is a solid liberal who has been a strong supporter of issues that liberal black folks generally love. And now this kind of disrespect because he said he won’t defund the police department? I can never support radicals like this lady. Never!

Radicals eat their own.

The reason popular vote doesn’t add up to a hill of beans. Is because the population in California and New York. Reason popular vote isn’t fair is because every state wouldn’t count. That’s why the electoral college is fair

Your reasoning is backwards. The electoral college favors the states with the highest populations and thus all voters are not treated equally. For instance.. all Republican votes in California count for nothing the Dems get all 55 electors. In Texas all the Dems votes count for nothing and the Repubs get all 38 votes. The 12 most populous states could pick the president over the remaining 38 who's votes would have no sayso at all. The EC should be changed to a proportional system so that every vote in every state should count. Either that or do away with the EC and go with the popular vote. If the EC was so great why haven't the states adopted it on a county by county basis for state elections?

I had thought Trump’s handling of the Coronavirus along with the related economic plunge was going to be his downfall. Polls were dropping considerably for him as recently as a week ago. I was then betting heavily in my mind that he’d lose (not a bad thing for me since I never supported him for POTUS). But now, with the economy and Dow seeming to come back more quickly than most expected, Biden looking questionable regarding his mind, and now this kind of nonsense from radicals along with looting/rioting, I’m expecting polls to start reversing soon. I think what happened in 2014 was one of the main reasons Trump won in 2016. Whereas corona brought Trump down, the civil unrest of radicals along with Biden’s weakness, may bring him back. Make no mistake about it, I still think Trump is awful due to his divisiveness and his being a jerk. I’m just calling it as I see it.

I will admit as a Trump supporter I hope these protests don’t give us a higher African American turnout that would give Biden the win. I hope they stick to looting and protesting not voting. Nothing against African Americans and getting rotten cops out I just don’t want Biden.
Welcome back to the America of the 1950's. Birdman huh? So Bird man is your real name Jim Crow?

We are a republic not a mob-rule democracy and that's why we have an electoral college. Imagine 10 guys and one woman in a room. They hold a vote whether to rape the woman. All 10 guys vote yes. It's mob rule. The founding fathers anticipated mob rule and made a way for the smaller states not to be ruled by out-of-control cities like we've witnessed this week. Clearly big cities and states burdened with out-of-control debt could basically steal from responsible cities and states.

Excellent analogy

Pretty sick and poor example... is it mob rule in state and local elections? If that type of election was so superior why isn't it instituted on state or local levels with counties being levied electors based on population? Your statement of out of control cities makes no sense. Cities don't have electoral votes... states do. And the states with the highest populations control the elections. Smaller states have less say so (i.e. they have less electors). The EC should be on a proportional basis so all votes can have a sayso.
