Stop bullying people on here.
The old man should have not even gotten close to the cop. I would have pushed him away also, you never know if someone is reaching for the cops gun. It's called respecting Authority. When there's no respect of authority that leads to anarchy.

Exactly a cop can’t take any chances. Apparently this board is divided on this issue. But I didn’t really see a huge issue. Looked like a bad accident to me

It wasn't intentional but people get charged all the time for unintentional crimes. If you did this to me you would go to jail. If you did it to a cop you would go to jail but when a cop does it no charges. Imagine if the only punishment you got for committing a crime was being fired.

The unemployment crash wasnt because of policy but because of stores being shut down to slow the spread. Once reopened a vast majority will return right back to work.
Agreed for the most part but there was plenty of folks that were trying to say the economy would crash so hard a lot of stores would close their doors for good. As a result people would be jobless and we would be heading to a Great Recession. That seems vastly overblown and many are now returning to work which everyone should agree is great news.

I tell ya what go up to a cop in Walmart. And do what that man did. Let’s see what happens. But I get what your saying and I can definitely see both sides.

The bigger picture is systemic use of force from police. We have seen this numerous times since these riots have started. Cops gloating on social media about pepper balling people and cops going too far.

This is the basis for all the protesting to begin.

Are all cops bad? Heck no but when good cops remain silent then they are still part of the problem.

Research the cop in Florida a few years ago that turned off his dashcam and bodycam and proceeded to be a old man with dementia. The cop knew before he got out of the car what he was gonna do.....that's why we he turned off all his equipment. He just didnt know that it recorded anyways.

Good cops have got to start speaking out against their coworkers when they do wrong.

Maybe this video will bring some perspective. The cop disables audio/video then beats an innocent old man with dementia and the old man is the one charged for assaulting a cop even though he never touched him. Never resisted and then gets tased to the face.

The cop walked with nothing more than a reprimand. This is what has to change.

Got to retrain how cops operate. Without weakening them to the point there overtaken by criminals. Being a cop is definitely a job I can’t do so I tip my hat to the people that can be a cop.

In other news, the economy added 2.5 million jobs in May vs an expectation of losing 7.5 million. Unemployment was 13% vs the 19% expected. This is GREAT news and a sign our economy may be recovering much quicker than expected.

This is great news but it probably means no more Trump checks! ?

Let’s see appears to me he approached the officer. More stupidity on his part then a crime though. I mean knowing something could happen would you approach a officer like that?

I don't want to live in a world where police have special rights and you can be assaulted for approaching someone.

He's not bullying people, he's rightly worried about fellow citizens believing police or anyone else have a right to assault people. Not respecting authority should not get anyone injured or killed, that is absolutely absurd.
I cannot fathom the amount of casual violence and denial of rights some of you are okay with.

The over generalizations by some here, elsewhere, and especially the left biased MSM about the police being bad guys is ridiculous. It is like 2014 all over again.

I think it is more about the fact that the police protect the bad cops more often than not.....I am sure that most cops are fine, heck several members of my extended family and several friends are LEO's.....that said when 1 bad cop does something bad in front of 10 other cops and they look the other way then you have 11 bad cops. The system is designed to enable bad behavior to go unpunished......the officers get the benefit of the doubt to much and that needs to change, as does the system setup to protect them.....every police force needs civilian oversight....

If a police says get back. And people approach police anyway is that ok? No it’s not it’s disobeying authority. Police say get back you get back

Why is that? Why do they have more rights than you and I?

I wish those of you in favor of violent authoritarianism and fascism would just own up to it. It is clear that the rights of man mean nothing to some of you.

I believe in law and order. I do believe police should be retrained to hopefully limit things that happen to George Floyd from happening again. I strongly believe in retraining law enforcement but you can’t weaken them to a point in which criminals take over law enforcement. Law enforcement still has to be effective or crime rates will sky rocket!

Seems simple enough doesn’t it

From our perspective yes. Perspective is a funny thing and when the people were protesting the shut downs and literally occupying state legislatures while armed which is illegal many thought that was a great display against a tyrannical govt.

Now people are protesting and some are getting violent because now its THEIR rights being trampled and people want to act like they should just submit to authority.
