I brought this up awhile back about the concern for how voting would unfold this fall. Unfortunately it looks like some states are deciding to do mail in voting only.

“Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced Tuesday that all registered voters in the crucial general election battleground state will be mailed an application to vote by mail in November so they do not have to risk exposure to the coronavirus by going out to the polls.”

What's the concern? Other states have been doing it for years without problems. It only seems to be a problem for the folks that don't want certain segments of the population to vote. Which is why they cut back on polling places, hours, etc normally when they get in charge. Plus all the gerrymandering to the nth degree they do to skew the representation away from what the distribution should be from what's seen in the vote totals.

Why is that unfortunate? All states should offer remote voting too all citizens.

We live in a strange time when letting people die alone is called humane.

Perhaps I misunderstood the article, but it sounds like they are mailing them to every voter? Although widespread voter fraud hasn’t been proven, this article below outlines how the process of mailed ballots can increase the chances of it and some concerns about it.

And that fact alone will be the proof of why it should happen and expose the reason why so many do not want it to.

I noticed in a state or two they were thinking of doing it even though as Republicans they usually fight tooth and nail against it.

If you couldn't do the gerrymandering like you can with the aid of computers these days to massively turn the tables in your favor, we wouldn't have these extreme people running for office and winning the jobs. Maybe we'd have a little more sense and working together instead of hat we ended up with.

Trying to do all you can so parts of the population find it very hard to get out and exercise their right vote cause of limited polling places, limited hours, limited early voting, etc is no way to run a country unless you don't want them to have a say in it at all. Hence why they'd rather not let people get one by mail so they can do so from home and send it back in. They know they'd lose the power they wrote in for themselves.

The fact is the GOP do not want it because the youth which is much more Dem leaning would vote and the Dems want it because it would help the Youth who lean heavily Dem vote who either don’t care or are too lazy to go to the polls.

I’m not one who beats the voter fraud drum, but it would definitely increase among family members. Probably on both sides.

Eventually everyone has a breaking point. The lockdowns from the virus finally made this man snap.

The man wasn't homeless without a reason and he has to be very unstable even before this attack

Only 2 real ways to have fraud in mail in ballots. If one of your friends isn't going to vote and you convince that person to let you vote in their place or they accidentally mail you more than 1 ballot.

In 2019 there was this too “There is some precedent for fraud on this, including in 2019, when a North Carolina congressional election was thrown out after a political operative for the Republican in the race collected absentee ballots and illegally tampered with thembefore turning them in. Opponents of collecting ballots call it ballot harvesting.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...uments-against-voting-by-mail/?outputType=amp

Yeah I should have clarified that individual fraud would mainly be from the 2 ways I described. 3rd party tampering could certainly be a problem.
