Don't forget he also said "poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids." Back in 2007 when talking about Barack Obama himself, he stated "You got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man." Back in 2006 he was quoted as saying, "You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accident. I'm not joking." Much farther back he voiced support of segregationists John Stennis and George Wallace, and once opined "integrating people... is a rejection of the entire black awareness concept."
I am not surprised at all about the left playing the race card, after all a bird will say "chirp, chirp"; but implying that Joe Biden has the racial high ground here is pure fiction. If we're going to call out racism, lets do it and be honest and consistent.
