This is just a flat out dumb post. Listen to lawful authority and orders sure, but do it in any damn manor you please. And don't forget he works for us, not the other way around. He isn't a king. He needs to respect the people.

Let me rephrase this because I am unaware of your comments during the Obama years.

In a time where trump supporters are complaining of him being attacked and portrayed negatively and that "respect for the office of president" type of stuff we forget something.

We forget that Obama was called a Muslim had his birth certificate questioned by the very man in the WH and was disrespected at every turn by many of those now calling for respect.

He was a Muslim. But while I didn’t like Obama. I still respected the authority of his position as president. Just he was a terrible president

Tbh I not a big fan of social security the other two I’m fine with. I see social security as a burden on the young people in society to support the older generations. I look at it from an idea of you should be prepared and save for retirement on your own and not expect the younger generation to pay for you. Me personally I don’t plan on taking social security when I get older but I also understand that it’s very important for people living pay check to pay check to have social security as they don’t have the money to really put money away for retirement. I don’t agree with the idea of I paid for it so I should get it even if you have plenty of money for retirement.
 
So as a libertarian with very conservative fiscal beliefs I was resigned to voting 3rd party again. After tonight and after the trump failures of 2020 there is becoming less reasons for me to not outright vote for Biden. Even a bad democratic presidency is better than a trump presidency. For the sake of our nation this man needs to be removed from office.

What’s funny is most these people burning buildings and looting. Most are Democrats there trying to overthrow America this isn’t protest anymore. Antifa wants to overthrow Government so yeah go ahead and support that type of thing

Hmmmm anyone wanna make a list of nations that use military force to stop protesters.....it will include countries like Iran or China.....sending regular US military forces is going to end badly. I wonder how much of that was typical Trump -------- though.....

Also the bible stunt was very much done to specifically target the evangelicals etc.....I remember when Obama was the one everyone feared would use the US Military against the people.

What the military would likely do is work side police. To restore law and order help arrest them. Sure they will be prepared to use force but look someone got to end the looting and setting businesses on fire.

I am still processing it, but so far I agree with you and Poimen about the Bible photo-op. I obviously don't have a problem with our POTUS wielding one, as many of our past ones have done, but, to me, this came across as a bit showy.

Seeing some of the videos of police abuse during these protests and night time riots leads me to believe we arent learning anything. Shooting 2 guys standing there with their hands in their pockets really gonna solve anything? Shooting people on their porch with paintballs really gonna help?
 
And then the whole DC Whitehouse thing with the protestors. This is honestly getting scary. I hope troops that end up deployed to any American cities are prepared to disobey the unlawful orders that they may be given. SECDEF Mark Esper is talking about American cities as "battlespaces" ffs.

Just in case any of you are confused, this is Trump praising China's show of force at Tiananmen Square......you know when they killed hundreds if not thousands of protesters......this shows you the mind of Trump...this is his Tiananmen Square and he plans to make a statement......hopefully the military leaders do what is right and makes sure nothing like that can happen here....
