Trump and Pelosi were both low imo. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.

My point is simply that you called Trump some names for his behavior (uncalled for imo and what you say you don't like about him) but when it comes to Pelosi's actions you said very little. It just seems a bit inconsistent to criticize someone for being divisive and calling others names, then to call that person a name, and then to say very little about the person (Pelosi) who broke multiple traditions and is being slammed even by the mainstream news media for her actions. JMO.

Like we effing had a choice???? Hilary or Trump? Obama or McCain? Obama or, who was that Mormon guy again? Bush or Gore? Nobody worth a damn since Reagan.

You do have a choice, you always have a choice.....this lesser of two evil crap is exactly why we are where we are today.....

It is because Trump has been a jackass for 3 years and he never stops! And he’s THE leader of the country, not Pelosi. I’ll never forgive him for how he talked about McCain or that reporter with the medical condition, among other things. He’s a lowlife classless human being.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I just don't think it's right to denigrate any of our political leaders with insulting names no matter how much we despise them or their actions.

I would completely agree if the most powerful man in the world acted this way. Unfortunately he is the biggest name caller and disrespectful person in government

I can't understand how Trump or his supporters can be offended by any action or words by another politician. He has set the standard that there is nothing to apologise for or be accountable for.

Contested convention in Milwaukee and Hilary is the nominee!

Me and some family members have been saying this past week or 2. Has her hand in to many cookie jars, from Iowa ties to the app company, Unanmious super delegate elected to their convention this year are her old supporters. Attacks on Gabby, and bunch of other drive by comments social media etc.

This is coming from someone who doesn’t associate themselves with any party, that is when I’m interested in what’s going on in the political world I make sure to Gather information from all sources fox, msnbc, cnn, various other sources who all have different perspectives & come up with my own conclusions based on all that. With that being said, from what I’ve seen & heard I just don’t understand how people still view trump as the “good guy”. I mean, reading his Twitter is a good start to how obviously flawed he is as the leader of our country. I think the reason people still support him to the magnitude they do lies in the ignorance of other perspectives. People tend to just follow one parties Narrative. I say to anyone, get out political box & look at things for yourself. I’m glad I never really paid attention to politics when I was younger when I would have been heavily influenced by my parents <insert party name here> strong beliefs. It’s allowed me to think for myself. I think reality is that each party holds a piece in the puzzle of truth.

As individuals we each have the opportunity to either stoop to the level of name calling/insults or to hold ourselves to a higher standard. The actions of someone else do not give us the right to resort to the same level of personal attacks. It's perfectly fair game to call out our political leaders for their actions, words, etc. and hold them accountable. At the same time my view is that we as individuals must maintain the a level of civility towards those we disagree with, no matter how they act or what they say. This is a big part of the issue with the partisan divide in our country. People hate one side so much they can't respond in a civil way to someone on the other side with opposing views and resort to name calling, insults, etc rather than engaging in constructive discussion and criticism.

Rather than engaging in a constructive debate or criticism about an issue people instead resort to calling other people or political leaders various names, ironically the thing they say they hate, which breeds further anger and division among fellow Americans.

To everyone who has issue with Trump comments to this person, that person, etc. Good for you guys. Dont vote for him and find, stand up for your candidate of choice. Trump is fine receving the criticisms you guys, main stream media etc hurl his way. No problem, your entitled to your opinion.
However your never ending crying about him giving it back tick for tack holds no water or persuassion just so you know. If he rolls over and plays presidential, high road etc. There is no one outside Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin who will defend him besides that twitter account. I dont have a twitter, dont care for it. But thank God he has a venue to get his point messages out. Leverage against decades old biased liberal main stream media.
That is what gnarls the swamp, espeacilly media. Theyve lost their leverage against the conservative movement, outside Acedemia arena.

As far as John McCain. I appreciate his service to our country. But as far as a politician he was a cancer to the conservative movement, always grand standing against Bush and Trump. Trump has an ego the size of the grand canyon. But McCain goverened with as big a ego as anyone I've ever known. No fan of the Mccain,Kasich,Romneys of the world. Rhinos. Always saying conservative things, promises during election. Then never acting on them post election. More concerned with being a media darling, liked.
Main reason people suport and stand behind Trump is simple. Results. He does exactly what he promises and campaigns off of. Very simple. Solutions , then Results. Forward Thinking . Not letting others define him.

I don't think people support Trump because they think he is a "high character" guy. People support him because of his policy decisions or views which align with their own. People like myself who view the Supreme Court and judicial nominees as critical to the constitutional freedoms we have. People who want lower taxes and a strong economy and consider his policy one that will bring economic benefit. People who want someone to protect the sovereignty of our country by protecting our borders and rooting out illegal aliens who are guilty of crime. These are the types of reasons that most people I know, including myself, supported Trump in 2016 and will do so again in 2020.

So here's a question, I haven't watched a State of the Union address until the past 2 years. Do former presidents like Obama, Bush, etc also have personal stories and people he talks about in the audience like Trump did or is that something specific that Trump does? I thought it was really heartwarming for him to honor the wife and 2 kids like he did and then have her husband back from deployment there to surprise them. I also enjoyed how he honored the Tuskegee airman and the little girl with the scholarship.
Obama and Bush had personal stories also. Trump just mastered the "show" aspect a little better.

I just want people to be consistent, if they're going to rip Trump and call him names (which IMO isn't right no matter how much you don't like a specific leader) it's only fair to respond to Pelosi the same way. Trump didn't shake her hand but she could have been the "adult" by staying neutral when he spoke and not ripping up his speech. Her actions were IMO worse, not because I like Trump but because of the duration and how visible her actions were. I didn't even notice live that he didn't shake her hand but did see that upon watching replays afterwards. However what I did notice and any American watching were the constant reactions by Pelosi in the background to various statements he made. Whether you agree with them or not, as speaker of the House the longstanding tradition is to appear neutral no matter what is said by the president. She broke that decorum and then ripped up the speech, taking things to another level. Even the CBS News anchors were absolutely shocked when she did that.

Looked like Pelosi was talking to somebody at times during his speech...Pence maybe??? Or has she just totally lost it??? I'm banking on the latter

This post is right on the money......the best policies Congress passes are the ones that require both sides to compromise thus usually filtering out a lot of the fringe crap from both ends of the political spectrum and its the right and intended way for our government to operate. The Founders never intended one party to have total control and force their agenda on the nation....this is what generates the mentality we see today of obstructionist politics were both sides are constantly trying to block the other party from advancing their agenda and refusing to work together. This is what happens when you let the Trumps and Pelosi's of the country have power....ultimately though we the people are to blame for no one goes to DC unless we send them there....

Don't kid yourself...Hillary still has her hand deeply entrenched in the Democratic Party...I wouldn't put anything past her

Trump is a bully? Sure. He talks down to other politicians? Sure. He calls people names? Sure.....I keep hearing from a lot of people who support him "blindly" why we don't stand up to him. Stand up to him how? By calling him out on a weather board?....lol. By not voting for him? Sorry but he is getting my vote in full confidence. When I voted for him I hired him to clean up the things "I" was concerned about on a national level. I was tired of seeing the GOP allow the left to steamroll them. I wanted a SOB in the White House and I got it. Millions of others feel the same way and if your feelings are hurt that's just life Francis. In my mind I got a 3rd party candidate. A shrewd businessman called Donald J Trump. Don't care about handshakes, paper being torn up or nimrods sitting on their hands. Its the State of the Union and the Union is doing great. Perhaps what we need from here is to have a state of the states IN THE UNION. This will give some of those sitting on their hands last night an opportunity to explain why taxes are high back home, people are living under bridges with needles in their arms and why they are on the nightly news across the nation for the wrong reasons.....Just a thought

Spot on!!! I didn't vote for him to be his "Friend"...I voted for somebody who was going to turn this country around...It had become a cesspool...Guess what??? He did...He has undone many of these tariffs that the previous administrations had so woefully screwed up!!! Throwing away the taxpayers money....Not anymore...AMERICA FIRST....We have a man in office who is a businessman who knows the value of a dollar bill...As for having to like everything he does...Nope, don't have to....But I damn sure like the direction we are headed now, and I don't think I'm the only one!!!

I think this was a calculated move by Pelosi, look what is dominating the news this morning, its all about her and Trump's feud and pretty much ignoring everything else.....its also sad that grown ass adults act the way these politicians do. I pretty much despise all these people but I hate seeing their petty squabbling old asses ruining the tradition and respect their offices hold and frankly demand.....I expect them all to behave like adults and proud members of the US government and to afford their positions and titles the respect they deserve not because they hold those seats but because of everyone that came before them and will come after.....the sanctity of those offices in these circumstances should prevail over party politics......but then again who am I kidding with the "party before country" mentality we have now sadly I am not surprised that these folks act like this.
