Wintry Palm Sunday NC and VA Winter Storm

Another overperformer here. Everything has covered up nice. Was up in surry county and the drive back was in slush tracks.
 
Cold air advection is starting to become more prevalent to our west on the backend of this wave, could see a return to at least a rain/snow mix before the end for many.
 
It’s been ripping snow all evening in Blacksburg and it looks to continue into the early morning. Eyeballing at least 7-8” and the trees are plastered. Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see widespread 12”+ amounts in SW Virginia and esp. the new river valley by the time the storm is over.
 
Crazy that it is colder now but not snowing. It started out so well, too.

I hope this helps in making your "Curriculum Report". Just bought a home and located in Advance, NC. (Davie County) 10mi SW of WS. Currently mixing rain/snow. Hitting the rack.. Out....:)
