You can see the 500mb maps on the Rah NWS climate site. Good reference. Had a PV press preceeding days up over NE and the wave came down out of NS on backside.
Not a single single member agrees with the op. Lol. We all knew it was too good to be true.

High temp of 63F here today breaks the previous record of 64F in 1930. Brrrrrr lol
Let’s just watch this time period. Important thing is there is a signal. Need to see this within the 7 day time period and then we can get serious
That same storm produced the first MAJOR ATL citywide ZR since Feb of 1979! Then they had another one just one week later!!

I gurantee if this was 4 to 5 days out, Big Frosty would be on here pointing out he hates coastals ,good luck every one to my east etc.
Then 4-5 days latter after the last second NW shift, he would jackpot,RC would be talking about the wake county snowshield, Id see 5 minutes white slush,then a inch of 32.6 degree rain.
Never fails and happens at least once every season just like I described above. Wait for it!
I will say that the GEFS has been trending better on a synoptic scale.
Run-to-run delta:
Yeah at least at General H5 is sorta similar, so the GFS was a perfect example of the best case scenario

Perfect location for the SE in regrds to a PV dislodge is what set all that up.
Yeah, I’ve been watching that time period for a few days now simply because that’s around the time that we appear to be heading for an overall pattern change and a lot of times we see winter storms pop up right before we head for milder weather.
No, this is the point that when it goes to ---- at 0z, this storm becomes the tablesetter

I definitely didn't expect to come home to this after a looong day at work. Glad to see there is some possible action in the upcoming weeks. But to respond to your statement- that'll be a hard pass. I am not wagering anything on a fantasy monster storm just to watch it disappear tomorrow, while you all score to the west of us, again. Sorry, but the stakes are too high and we are all on edge. How about we all score, overall?
