You can see the 500mb maps on the Rah NWS climate site. Good reference. Had a PV press preceeding days up over NE and the wave came down out of NS on backside.That is the benchmark for NENC snowstorms

Perfect location for the SE in regrds to a PV dislodge is what set all that up.That same storm produced the first MAJOR ATL citywide ZR since Feb of 1979! Then they had another one just one week later!!
