Ostrich December

NWS RAH says scattered flurries are possible tonight
"Tonight
Scattered sprinkles before 1am, then scattered sprinkles and flurries. Increasing clouds, with a low around 32. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph after midnight."
Beatifull snow day continues up at Beech mtn. Piling up. Check out beech mtn parkwy cam. Summitt look like a snow globe

This line from the RAH afd made me laugh
Still some of the
soundings suggest the profiles will have some steep lapse rates and
nature some how finds a way so while the it should be the exception,
wouldn`t be surprised that the clouds become galciated and a few
snow flakes mix in. Giv

I’d honestly watch any bands that develop after any first band of precip, that first might serve to cool off the low levels/surface, that happened with my December 1st flizzard all though I did see stuff mix in the first one, the 2nd one was all light snow, here’s what I was working with with the precip from 2 different models 6267E476-2473-442A-9969-95F668AEC265.jpeg8BED98AE-AA9C-43F6-9CEA-593502F588B4.jpeg

?Be on squint alert ??

After watching this snowstorm in the NE US, we all look like total peasants hoping for a couple random flakes tonight.
I just want to see a Carolina Crusher again someday, around here I've come to accept a few flakes as a win. RDU hasn't even had 10" total in a winter since 2003-04, which seems statistically unlikely to happen when our climo is about 6".

GFS is a no go on this run.
