Ostrich December

Watching this myself. We want be runing AC heading in to Christmas this year. What a Ridge on the West Coast. Curious what that energy does out in the 4 corners. Long way off. Atleast the PNA will be pos , sending down refrigerator air

The rain is perfect for App having to go to such a crappy bowl against a team with a losing record.
 
Not liking the long range GEFS this morning. Seems to want to shift our blocking from Greenland east into just a big ole WAR. That's going to stunt/mute the cold that tries to come east as mentioned. The NAO probably goes neutralish I bet. I really want our higher heights over Hudson Bay/ Greenland, with troughiness just to the east. Don't like this look.

The only bad thing about some of that is we run the chance of suppression. I still remember December 23, 1989 and seeing those gray clouds well of to the south and east knowing that the beach was just getting buried by a blizzard while here in the Piedmont we were dealing with dry bitter cold and highs in the upper teens.

I had come home for Christmas from my first duty station that Christmas. I think my mom and pops got 6”, maybe a tad more. It was weird coming from southern Texas and 70’s to getting snow.
