Watching this myself. We want be runing AC heading in to Christmas this year. What a Ridge on the West Coast. Curious what that energy does out in the 4 corners. Long way off. Atleast the PNA will be pos , sending down refrigerator air
Hopefully we get that NS energy to dive in and get the wave to move in correctly, that damn WAR tho

Like @Myfrotho704_ says, looks like there's a strong WAR at H85 in particular that forces out our cold air. Not going to work verbatim, but it's not far off. This is a good setup.
Deal with this somehow, and we'll be in business.
CMC has some very cold air coming in.

GFS is a smoldering trash heap BUT, mid Atlantic is potentially going to get hosed and get mostly rain this week, so there’s that.

Not liking the long range GEFS this morning. Seems to want to shift our blocking from Greenland east into just a big ole WAR. That's going to stunt/mute the cold that tries to come east as mentioned. The NAO probably goes neutralish I bet. I really want our higher heights over Hudson Bay/ Greenland, with troughiness just to the east. Don't like this look.
I had come home for Christmas from my first duty station that Christmas. I think my mom and pops got 6”, maybe a tad more. It was weird coming from southern Texas and 70’s to getting snow.
