Good news Yakutsk has already had some snow
No doubt that area should be cooler. I lived in Kansas in 79-80. Plenty of cold
Maybe history will repeat!!!Our earliest snow is in 3 days and there was an ice storm before Halloween in 2020. Interestingly that was the same winter as the big February freeze
What October was that ?The hottest October ever here did have a big winter...![]()

Don’t do this to yourself, Brent! I think it is best to keep expectations low especially when most expectations are actually pretty low. Then the worst thing that could happen is that low expectations are met. You’ll be taking trips, regardless.
Everything good always happened in 1963 apparently. Don't we always talk about March 1963 every year?1963
Over half the snow fell in... March...
Looks as if we are getting a big drop in humidity, but average to above average temps this way.Let's go View attachment 152627
I’m ok with above average temps if the humidity is low. I’m just sick of dewpoints above 65.Looks as if we are getting a big drop in humidity, but average to above average temps this way.
I know it's way out in lala land, but a pretty cool shot comes down in the day 9-10 time frame on 12zgfs and low 40s for my area, if true.
It's hot
At least the humidity is low! And tonight looks very pleasant there. This is like the 3rd time in the last month we are in the 90s after they were supposed to be over
And I still see more next weekend

This weeks forecast is the best I've seen in a while
80s look to vanish even for N GA for the most part with even some upper 40s at last. It's about time it feels like fall and hopefully summer gets finished off. This weeks forecast is the best I've seen in a while
Next weekend may get a little warm again at least here (low 80s) but it seems short lived80s look to vanish even for N GA for the most part with even some upper 40s at last. It's about time it feels like fall and hopefully summer gets finished off.

As long as everything stays as is we will see a lot of 30s longer nights and dews that low should do 30s easily west of 95 outside of the urban centers6z GFS dew points for day 7/8:

Actual surface (2m) temps are showing lots of 40s in the lower elevations. But, if we can get some good radiational cooling, maybe we can see our first frost in some areas.
Do you live in a terrariumMy heat came on this morning.
