Lot's of frosty rooftops this morning. Could see Monday morning being a degree or two colder, if I eek out a killing frost Monday going to be a bizarre site come end of next week.... brown grass with trees that still haven't fully changed, talk about flipping the switch

Actually it will look like Mack's yard in the dead of summer

The original name of Gainesville was Hogtown ... rumor has it that a bunch of folks migrated (actually were run out by the Seminoles for messin' with the hogs) ... run out clean from here to Alabama in the 1830's ... related?

yeah, especially when its october. or november.... lol
There was a year, I’m gonna say November of 2001, we in the Western Carolinas, had 3 or 4 legit snow events and one had us under a WSW!

Yes

I was really kinda joking, but the over pattern does look as it would support something in the mountains even if it.was light. Maybe I'm wrong but around Halloween and after looks a bit chilly

Absolutely not 2001. I think maybe you meant 2000 when we did get snow in November and a WSW that busted in early Dec.

40s tonight and low 40s to upper 30s tomorrow night. So in love

Record highs once again today here (89) as well as in Gainesville, FL (91).

This Illinois v Wisconsin game is fun, crazy snow in October....its a beautiful thing

Was watching that before i went to work so beautiful

Absolutely stunning day here after nonstop rain for a week and multiple rained out weekends sunny and low 70s with a breeze

... and perhaps, just to end the month before November doom and gloom sets in ...

lovin' blues on maps, whether probabilities, anomalies, or departures from normal ... blue is just soooo pretty ...

Could see my first freezing temps of the season tonight! I guess it depends on how much the winds stay up. Either way it’ll definitely be the coldest night so far this season beating out my low of 37 the other night.
I guess the winds died down cause my low was 30 last night for my first freezing temps of the season. I really hope these below normal temps and early snows are a sign of good things to come this winter.

GFS trying to keep us in the 40’s from 108-168..call the doctor
What’s the 18z Doc gonna say!? DT says the GFS is horrible! Need the CMC opinion, it’s the best on CAD temps

In the SE this is my favorite time of year, when dry pleasantly cool autumn first sets in after a typically long hot summer. No more long-lasting heat/humidity combo til at the very least April......6+ months of none of that to look forward to.

Have they got pigs in Chi-town?
To answer a rhetorical question, and having spent too much time there ... Yes they do ...
