Drove over to Wrightsville Beach for breakfast and there's big puddles everywhere. Airport obs show a storm there overnight that missed me by a few miles. I guess me and @Avalanche are just gonna have to wait our turn.

Not a drop here either, could see the lightning through the cumulonimbus cloud top though. Got my hopes up for nothing.
Shaggy you’ve been here longer than me to know, but this feels like a rainy vs dry season kind of climate. Summer rains every day then nothing for fall.
Lots of worrying for December when Thanksgiving gonna feel like Thanksgiving, and any black Friday Christmas shopping gonna feel like Christmas. Enjoy a nice cool down later this week. Worry about torches later. Don't let worry steal your joy!

Yeah generally speaking starting in September through November is a pretty dry period for eastern NC we are between afternoon thunderstorms and winters northeastern. Usually starts picking back up in the winter months

I guess we're not getting a severe threat the week of Thanksgiving this year that we seem to get most years.
Whispy pink cirrus on the horizon, cool temps, dark at 530, feels like Thanksgiving
Might have a number of college games in this snow this weekend
not convinced I’m getting to 64 today. Also, that squall crossing the ga sc line is doing better than I thought it would
also, sneaky little onset ice event for the high country, immediate eastern blue ridge escarpment, and SWVA is possible sunday morning. AIFS has been trending quicker with precip arrival into a borderline thermal environment in the wedge.

Mid 40's looking likely around here for Thanksgiving which is perfect.
The temperatures will be in the low fifties in the RDU area after the passage of the cold front on Wednesday which isn't bad for conveying the Thanksgiving vibe. At least we won't be swatting mosquitoes and dressing in t-shirts and shorts if we spend any time outside.
I’m loving that there will be a 2nd straight cold Thanksgiving in the ATL area. I’m very thankful for that! No shorts and short sleeve shirts will be needed.

GFS has been consistent on some flurries thanksgiving morning for the northern piedmont of NC. On and island though
.01 again, very likely finish Nov. with 1.16.

What a fabulous road in the Upstate. So many miles on the bike in that area.
Easily overlooked by non-locals. Not to mention the highways that head up the mountains. Tons of hidden gems in the SC mtns
Magen’s Bay, St Thomas was our last stop today. Headed home. Glad I left my heat set at 65 bc damn that’s some pipe bursting cold on deck back home

Happy Thanksgiving. I just finished some stuffing for the turkey my son-in-law is cooking this year with Italian Sausage in it. This is the first time I have ever made stuffing from scratch and I think I knocked it out of the park.

My father's mother used to make her dressing the same way. I would do that myself, but my wife doesn't like oysters. My wife has her ways, the woman likes oyster stew but she takes the oysters out of it and gives them to me.
Made it up to a January afternoon high of 46 today. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT Thanksgiving day.
