12km NAM says no dice, when precipitation is this light it's rarely snow, especially here in the south... It's usually freezing drizzle if anything

Definitely find it strange many here are using the 32km NAM for this system, it really defeats the purpose of using high-res guidance in the first place, you might as well use the GFS at that rate

It's also very coarse and can't resolve convection and I wouldn't advise using it if the idea is to use high res guidance inside 48-72 hours. The 12km or 3km NAM is better...

I don’t know what the verification scores are but I know during severe season last spring the 3k nam was sh**.
Alabama and Mississippi look to keep winning this winter.

00z NAM precip shield just got cut in half in SC from the last run 
Tons of low level moisture. Could be a nasty setup of freezing drizzle or mist that doesn't show up a radar.

It never existed on ground truth to begin with. Sounding was bone dry for most areas outside the coast where snow grows.00z NAM precip shield just got cut in half in SC from the last run

RGEM is a big fat fail . Not encouraged that the nam still has no support
Hey guys. GFS says the NY storm is not happening. Maybe Starkville or Tuscaloosa gets a little frozen drizzle but that's it.

Nam keeps me in some light sleet again. Just as soon as it kept it light because it had me down for 11 inches of snow in this last event...I think it meant an 11th of an inch of snow, but it got lost in last minute translations, lol. So, yeah Nam, lets keep it light for now....it's enough that you want me to get some sleet...and I appreciate it immensely T

I know cold is not the issue with this for me, but morning low got to 24.7 here, about 4 below forecast... and surface wind (3 mph) have swung to SE..
