Mean coldest March max is 43. Toss , I stand by my statement that models have a spring lag where they struggle to adjust for the rapidly changing climo conditions . These models are operating under winter mindset still.

where was this trend in February or Jan when we had snowpack to our north, all this results is in a cold cold rain

Yeah no kidding why couldn't we do this in Feb during the coldest air in a decade. You know it's bad when I'm out on it. Wedgies in mid March are 9.9 times out of 10 cold rain for the majority of NC

I'm looking at the pattern and not just MBY although wedges usually end up cooling it off here, too..models have trouble handing them. we've had plenty of wedging here the last few weeks.

Probably another thing that’s saves us this run to is that it doesn’t get picked up but is just a cutoff, if it got picked up by some pacific/northern stream energy, warm sector could surge north easier

That setup is not one I like for us at all. The wedge and time of year might help us out but that's a setup that's getting favorable for severe east of the apps
