Yes. That area will do just fine.Do you think the Lake Glenville area just north of Highlands will have some accumulation? Around 3000ft in elevation I think.

I never knew this thread existed!!?I like this thread for two reasons, our area is the foothills, and I spend the rest of my time between Carters Lake and Maggie Valley, and everywhere in between.
A couple of observations from last weekend, the Cohuttas in northwest Georgia recorded their first accumulation. Everywhere from Jasper, GA to Cherokee had snow showers on Friday, so no shut out there.
Hopefully the northern mountains of NC score from this weekends system.
Its cheap all along the I-77 corridor in WV.When i move i want to get property at some elevation. Mostly looking at Virginia/West Virginia, but NC would work as well. Just seems a little pricey in most areas though.
Haha yep. Looking just north of Beckley at around 2000'. Average snowfall according to local co-ops and the Beckley airport is 45-50 inches. That works for me.Its cheap all along the I-77 corridor in WV.
I had no idea it was that much, I figured around 25ish, but I think their airport is closer to 3k.Haha yep. Looking just north of Beckley at around 2000'. Average snowfall according to local co-ops and the Beckley airport is 45-50 inches. That works for me.

I personally thing Southern WV has a lot of potential, especially if you have the opportunity to work remote. Beckley is a decent size town, weather is great year round, Snowshoe is a couple of hours, New River Gorge National Park, etc.Wow the airport actually averages 55.9 according to the 1991-2020 normals at the ncei website.
Yeah i agree. Big enough for anything you need yet not crowded. I'm supposed to settle on the house down here on the 12th. Praying no issues so i can get going...LOL Oh, and the summers are nice.
