Wintry More SE Snow ? (1/16-1/18)

Euro was actually less on snowfall this run. For north Alabama. But not worried about that just yet. Trying to look at the big picture.

Promise I am totally happy where I am at in Northeast miss, but right on edge, hopefully those larger amounts push east, just so it won’t be so close, local Mets are stuck on dusting to maybe half inch for some. Maybe they are just going with gfs to be safe, but even Memphis went with inch, less for some. Hope they will go up in morning and gfs will trend better.

You can see just how incredible this run really was as far as trends go. Almost cut off here over VA, wouldn’t take much to make precip explode even more over NC. This is night and day from the 12z run and all bad trends today. I’ve been preaching this since day 1, a cutoff is almost essential for Central NC to bank with big totals. I’m glad it’s showing up again!

We need a solution more like what the UKIE is showing for the Midlands crew. The QPF looks much better vs. Other model guidance.

The Euro started us a rain then mix then snow. UKMET may not be all snow, either.

Around an inch is all this system was ever going to give us. It never was going to be a big system. I'll take an inch and be happy

I’m happy With it, anything just to make it look white. So those 2-3 inch areas on map on some models are overdoing it?
Most models are showing around an inch.
Euro maybe a tad more. I think Memphis nws is about spot on in giving everyone around an inch. Northwest Ms may receive a tad more

More than triple what I got with the last storm Friday, lol... fine with me, that was only because one last stranded band gave me .2 inches. I was fine with that just enough to cover cars and roofs cause I thought I was out, so much better way I look at it.

Good trends tonite i see... bout the best we can hope for at the point... as 1300 pointed out earlier in the evening... this is far form a settled solution due to the complexity of the energy...hoping 12z is better is about all we can reasonably ask for at this point.
