Wintry Midsouth Winter Storm January 12th-13th

Rather large differences in the short term modeling! Im rooting for the one that gives all of you winter precip!

You said

Not what you originally said now you want to time stamp it 18z vs 12z and wiggle around it... JMHO you were trying to hype it up and to me at least read like "breaking news"...Fine ok...But like I quoted to you earlier there was nothing new here

NAM has shown a clear trend over the last couple days for possible wintry impacts and accumulation for NW AL...

Now spin it as you wish (your good at it) but I'm done with this subject...
oh please, that's ridiculous, why it's an issue when one run is much better for parts of alabama than the one before is amazing. The 12Z sucked, and it was a huge improvement. Period. Now, if the 0Z reverts back to the 12z, it was much ado about nothing as far as my positivity

View attachment 2727 View attachment 2726 And different algorithm not saying this is correct but going to be p-type issues throughout it appears... Dry slot or not

The worst part is if the dry slot wraps in enough you dry out the DGZ and you are left with pockets of sleet and grauple unless you get in the deformation band. May break a lot of hearts in North AL thinking the sim radar is showing snow showers.

not as good as the 18Z still interesting though

Yeah the NAM is starting to show a dry slot as well. Just have to wait and see. Its It's almost window time anyway

HRRR is showing a dry slot as well

3km NAM has snow/sleet showers across North Alabama but that's about it.

RPM has half an inch here just nw of Huntsville, .4 at Huntsville, only .1 at Florence...3-5 inches in west tenn from memphis northeast. Euro has an inch here and the shoals.

RGEM like other models (has been the case) shows all kind of thermal issues p-type still a mixed bag of everything in the winter storm warned and watch area... What a hot mess but at least it's frozen LoL

most AL folks exception xtreme NW AL will have to rely on forcing and CAA aid for anything wintry... Dry slot and pray on the backside LoL

Sounds like the SE?

Looks like that convection in the gulf is going to rob some people of a good time
