Looks like RDU had a low of 29 this morning.

Meanwhile, Roxboro bottomed out in the low 20s. They always win.

Looks like GSO only made it down to 32. RDU 3 degrees colder than GSO isn’t something you see too often.

No happens a lot of the time April - November for monthly coldest temps . They have higher coldest avg lows than we do . Also dropping to low 20s in late March when things are growing is not a “ win”.

We’re still almost a month out from last year’s last freeze (April 21st). Average last freeze is around the end of March/beginning of April for most of us.

Yes yes indeed but there is a huge difference from a freeze around 32 and a night in the low 20s . Also last year was the latest in 2 decades . Not exactly the norm. You are correct about the average yes .

I think I have seen a bit of snow on 3 of my last 5 Spring Break Smokies trips so this would keep with tradition.

There are some returns showing but the air is so dry nothing is reaching the ground. Too bad we can't see a last flurry before the heat of summer comes at us.

Most of it probably will be after this morning. Usually a semi-late frost/freeze doesn't do much damage but 24 yesterday and 23.5 this morning, is a little more unusual so yeah probably
