Reporting in from the southern flank ...
Gainesville is a parking lot; evacuees everywhere looking for gas;
Projected winds (not gusts) at 100mph;
Projected 'Cane conditions from after dark Sunday until mid-morning Monday, with TS conditions on either side for hours.
Until it gets unsafe or power/internet goes out, I'll toss in an update when appropriate.
Take care and
Best,
Phil

See Flo, this is bad for us. Better for our coasts. It's crazy to think.. but the wind field expands and everything goes to Hell for us.

You got the frame before this?

One other thing I'll add ... personally I'm at the end of the power grid; with Jeanne I had no power 8 days; with Hermine it was 5 and no internet for 7; so if you don't hear from me at some point, your good fortune ... :cool:

Just looking at reports...we have the makings for a real humanitarian disaster wrt the gas shortages that now have thousands stranded as they've evacuated northward...a real cluster**** right now.

That's crazy! Very smart man on the other board said its Irmas energy dying out and then running into the wedge , that makes the crazy gradient like that, even well inland and as a depression! The GFS and Euro, have been adamant about those gusts for many runs now! The tree damage would be awful

Well, there go the rest of the bradford pears in this area that aren't well kept as well as a lot of pine trees. Trimming some maple trees tonight to make sure they don't snap or have large branches blown down.

As Storm pointed out, things are becoming clearer as where Irma will go well inland. Landfall? Who knows really. Im sure with many more model runs to go, things will still fluctuate east to west. I live in southwest Bama, and i wouldn't take much for me to get the whole DAMN thing.

I hope my Bradford in the front yard goes down ! Had the almost EF2 tornado in Dec 75 yards away from the house, took out all pine and cedar trees down in my backyard, didn't strip a leaf off the Bradford in the front! :(
These wind gusts are very concerning and look to be mostly overnight Monday ! Down trees at night are even worse!
