Im up in East Tennessee and the way it's looking we could very well be on the northeast side of Irma. Such a powerful storm with so many ways of devastation that is about to happen. Stay safe everyone.

near the cape at hr74 and starting to get "tugged" back west. again, looks a little east of 18z run but west of 12z run so far. Weakness EAST is all but gone.
 
Well funny you mention you like when the lurkers speak. First off I am a little kid in a candy store with everyone's observations and knowledge thank you so much for the massive amount of data breakdowns.
My question.. I'll be staying in a place located in West Ga (Near Bowden) their home is at 1500' above sea level will that increase the percieved winds?
 
That gfs run is a major difference for folks futher upstream. Eyewall hugs coast all the way up and has way more punch as opposed to coming straight up midle of penisula.
