I bet most of NC will be under one tomorrow.
Where are you getting the pictures with the lightning
I live twenty miles west of Dublin, there's not going to be any parking decks in all of Laurens County. However, there's plenty of businesses located at the main Dublin exit on I-16.
Woah, I was on that/one of those flights this morning.Side note: (Former crew member here) LAX-> CLT and we are on approach. Crew has been asked to sit down 45 minutes out. That's pretty rare
Better late than never. Still some correcting East to do
Agreed! I’m in the same boat.I'm East of Lake Lanier so this looks like it will pass to my West giving me the dirty side of Helene. The NE quadrant specifically. I know there are several posters on this board located around this area too. It's been frustrating to say the least watching all the models show the center going to my East while the NHC stays rock steady on their guidance. It's going to be a long night...
I'm sure you guy are tired of this topic but it's a huge difference to some of us.
If the NHC ends up being that wrong I will never pay attention to them ever again.latest hrrr has the center right on the GA/SC line on lake Hartwell tomorrow morning. NHC track has been an embarrassment today. Honestly it's a joke.
Just measured over 480 Lightning strikes in the last few minutes with radarscope.
Yeah I was about to say I don't remember many eye walls being this electric at landfallJust measured over 400 Lightning strikes in the last few minutes with radarscope.
Hugo pt 2 all over again
They been abysmal with their performancelatest hrrr has the center right on the GA/SC line on lake Hartwell tomorrow morning. NHC track has been an embarrassment today. Honestly it's a joke.
That point isn't even anywhere near the edge of the cone of uncertainty... the cone they have out right now!
If this ends up following the path that the globals have been insisting for days that it would follow, the NHC is going to have to cover why they were completely dismissing them.latest hrrr has the center right on the GA/SC line on lake Hartwell tomorrow morning. The problem is that globals haven't cave to NHC at all and it less than 24 hoursIf this ends up following the path that the globals have been insisting for days that it would follow, the NHC is going to have to cover why they were completely dismissing them.
On another weather board, they are saying it's wobbling more west and may come closer to Tallahassee. My aunt lives in Tallahassee. She'll be staying for the duration of the storm. I'm thankful the storm will be passing to her west. Praying for those in the path of Helene in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas tonight and tomorrow.
Exactly. We’ve been seeing the spaghetti plots shift towards the globals since last night and it was fairly obvious all day long that the storm has been following the eastern edge of the cone. The problem is that globals haven't cave to NHC at all and it less than 24 hours

They're clearly not watching the radar. On another weather board, they are saying it's wobbling more west and may come closer to Tallahassee.
You don’t want the storm to pass to your westMy aunt lives in Tallahassee. She'll be staying for the duration of the storm. I'm thankful the storm will be passing to her west. Praying for those in the path of Helene in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas tonight and tomorrow.
Does this mean it made Landfall941.7mb on land already according to chasers
well one of their guys just had a roof fly right over them so…Has the weather channel or anyone talked about why the cone is so far west but when they run the model it’s east? Or are they just ignoring it.
Oh wow, no, she's on the west of the track. The storm should pass to her east! My bad.You don’t want the storm to pass to your west
Honestly hard to tell. I think the eye is shrinking. They're clearly not watching the radar.
