What are y'all doing about water?Same. Duke told me today but so many in Asheville is without power. After they restore a power line another issue appears. Duke really dropped the ball on this one.

I applied it was easy. Have a hole in my roof from the wind.FEMA assistance…. Disasterassistance.gov
Please apply through the website. There’s no food spoilage requirement. If you’re in a declared county the process is pretty automatic. On the site they’ll list a center for your area. Once things are calmed down go there and ask about additional assistance or a generator. FEMA exists in part to hand out this money to people. These negative stories out there discourage people. It’s 100% that You ain’t getting nothing if you don’t apply.

I left the city to my parents in Florida. I was in a hotel for a week that had water delivered to them. Idk how I would have function without water. Others are leaving the city too. What are y'all doing about water?
Welcome to the club. These things look good on the surface but they really aren’t for usWell I got auto rejected because I have insurance with a sky high hurricane deductible. Any ideas?
Whos it for if it’s not for the disaster relief?Welcome to the club. These things look good on the surface but they really aren’t for us
I take it anyone who has insurance is just out of luck with FEMA?Whos it for if it’s not for the disaster relief?
I know this is a risky post, so folks please don’t go political, but I can’t help but ask.
Sort of a redundant question I know
I mean they do have an appeal process basically saying show us what the insurance won’t cover and we will consider it, but we will seeI take it anyone who has insurance is just out of luck with FEMA?
Yeah I won’t comment on that bc the thread will get locked. When my insurance agent gets back from Disney world ( ) I’ll inquire about my homeowners insurance covering a small portion but I won’t hold my breath. I obviously don’t need it as much as a lot of people but that shouldn’t negate the fact that I too could use a helping hand through all of this. I feel we’ve all suffered to a degree and that’s OK. Some had it worse than we did and some had it better then we did. If you want a little help it should always be there. We’re all tired. Some more tired than others.Whos it for if it’s not for the disaster relief?

Probably won't get anything from your insurance either. Because the damage to your roof does not exceed the deductable. Now I had to file a claim on probably $2,000 worth of damage against a $6,000 deductible just so my home insurance can double next year
I know. But hoping I can prove to fema that the insurance didn’t cover the roof, but if not whatever.Probably won't get anything from your insurance either. Because the damage to your roof does not exceed the deductable.
Congrats! My wife and I just returned from Greensboro. Still no power, and don't expect water anytime soon. Nice traffic jam on I-40 East in the Old Fort area where it goes to one lane, people ready for a shower.Just got word my power and well water is back on! I'm so relieved.
