I have a cousin that lives in Valdosta and her and her husband and daughter and grandson rode out the storm a couple miles from their at a friends house. She said the friend has a home weather station and it showed the winds topping out at 98mph sustained and gusted to 134mph. So it seems that was a legitimate wind report there.Valdosta Ga had sustained winds of 102 with Gusts of 133. Considering the damage in Augusta and in between, It's not unreasonable to assume 100 mph Gusts that far inland.
