I believe they are up to 7 flash flood emergencies ongoing in the NC Mountains, very bad situation there.Asheville as really going to be hit hard by this on the current track. Days of soaking rain, extreme flash flooding and now about to take the central remnants of Helene. Could be massive amounts of downed trees and even worse flooding.
I think it’s going to get worse looking at radar and current path. I hope I’m wrongI believe they are up to 7 flash flood emergencies ongoing in the NC Mountains, very bad situation there.
Congrats! Stay safeBoys it is cookin’. I’ve never seen anything like this around here. There’s a damn hurricane in the upstate
Yep. Here in Macon that last band was the only windy part. A couple of power flashes during thatRegarding the backside of Helene. Macon just gusted to 59 mph.
I think the highest winds for my area and surrounding areas will occur in the next few hours out of the west perhaps under clear skies.
Nobody has power in Oconee I don't thinkI failed to mention we have no power.
There was a moment before the eye that it was sounding like that and all I can think is I'm grateful it didn't get worse or as bad as you all in the Upstate/augusta. Extreme weather is fun and all but I've had my fill of storm damage before and just don't want to deal with it or days without power. Give me snowstorms all day..anyday.55mph gust just now os the most I've experienced here. Sounds like a dam train that won't end
Radar center fix. 83.5W 34N moving due north.
You'd never know it looking at satellite.
Maybe 45 mph wind gustsHell I live way down in eastern NC and even I am am wondering if I might get some winds after all watching this loop which I cant seem to embed....

No doubt. It goes to show how it's hard to wind down such a powerful storm even inland and being decapitated.I think we are seeing the MLC and the SLP starting to split as it goes extra tropical.....
