Local tv met said the storm has crossed over into SC. Wind is insane here in west Columbia. Most of my friends on facebook are without power and reporting trees and power lines down in their neighborhoods.

I'm safe at least as far as I know (will find out more soonish), just don't have power, and am thinking many probably don't around here.
Man, was that nasty. I slept through Michael, but I didn't sleep through this and the wind had to be roaring for a good couple hours+.

Power keeps going off then back on lol. Have seen a couple of transformers blow but so far power is still on for most of the county
Just had a 54mph gust at my house. Already lots of branches down in the yard

Officially in the eye. Pressure is 28.77/974mb...wind is calm...and amazingly still have power..although it did go off twice. So not sure if it will stay on when the west winds pick up. Top gust only 48mph. I'm thrilled since you can see by the power outages maps I missed the worst of it just barely as I mentioned I was hopeful for last night.

68mph gust at the Anderson airport, 60mph at the clemson airport. The models were right this time on max gusts. Just crazy wind here.
Asheville as really going to be hit hard by this on the current track. Days of soaking rain, extreme flash flooding and now about to take the central remnants of Helene. Could be massive amounts of downed trees and even worse flooding.
AGS hit 82MPH and is now down
