Around 3 inches so far in my SouthPark area of Charlotte. Actually surprised it hasn't accumulated more, as it's been snowing all day. More to come though.
Pixie-like flakes. The intensity has been off and on. Supposedly, the rates and intensity will pick up this afternoon into the evening.
They’ll definitely be higher than your normal 10:1. I like around 15:1 as an average for this setup of cold.
Blind squirel theory . Trashed that rap, cams. When i saw that future radar nail first 4 hr loop. And Like you, i know it only takes. 3-.5 qpf to really paint the canvass in a half foot plus.
We keep this up over here by supper we will easily be in 8-12 category. Same all the way back down hwy 49 to Charlotte.
Im more concerened with getting kylo snow than me. Hate to see anyone miss out today. So refreshing having winter wx events an not worrying with surface temps

I need some more observations from folks down east. Truly curious how it is at the beach.
That map was update when the heaviest band of snow I have seen in a while was going on. I’m at 5.5” so if we can get another half inch mby will hit 6”
Yeah that’ll do it..
If that is the band that just moved through habersham it is a monster. Gave me an inch and a half!

Was just driving and a car passed another car on a double yellow line in the snow with snow on the road. Durham drivers are psycho.

I usually can’t understand this guy but I hope he’s right. Models have been so anemic for Chesapeake Bay, Norfolk area.

Some areas in cabarrus closing in on 6-7” already. Here I’m at 4.7”. Waiting on heavier banding but it’s a steady consistent snow
