I get your point but the original post seems to indicate the thread was started based on the possibility of Atlanta hitting 100, big freaking whoop (not directed at you). All I'm trying to say is people are pointing to their yard and saying it's only 2 hot days but as you go further south there's more duration. It's not a record breaker or anything that far out of the ordinary but given the lack of overall heat this year why not. I bet @deltadog03 thinks this sucks
Yes but it’s still not thread worthy even for those further south . That point still stands , Augusta July average high is over 94 degrees these days ! That’s close enough to upper 90s that if you fart on the sensor it will jolt up to them. It’s hot certainly and hotter in other places but not thread worthy or significant . Maybe significant is slightly subjectiveAll I'm trying to say is people are pointing to their yard and saying it's only 2 hot days but as you go further south there's more duration. Not really it would be more like low 40s low 20s hereI think this heat wave is equivalent to temps in the upper single digits IMO.
Dude, upper 90's or even 100 in the deep south in late July is nowhere near the equivalent of single digit winter lows around here and if I have to explain that to you then I'm done.I think this heat wave is equivalent to temps in the upper single digits IMO.
FixedThen I demand a thread for arctic outbreak this winter for temps in the mid 30s and heavy rain Lol
I don't think Atlanta has hit 100 in 9 years.I get your point but the original post seems to indicate the thread was started based on the possibility of Atlanta hitting 100, big freaking whoop (not directed at you).
It's been a long time for CLT as well and they have a chance on FridayI don't think Atlanta has hit 100 in 9 years.
August 2019, 2 years ago .I don't think Atlanta has hit 100 in 9 years.
I guess the biggest thing that could prevent 100 is how wet the ground is.It's been a long time for CLT as well and they have a chance on Friday
When was the last time BNA hit 100?August 2019, 2 years ago .
109 in 2012 , surprising since their mean maximum is like 99.When was the last time BNA hit 100?
BTW I don't think there is a shot ATL hits 100
I think areas northwest of ATL like Rome have a shot at 100. Their forecast is 99.When was the last time BNA hit 100?
BTW I don't think there is a shot ATL hits 100
There's 100% more days in the mid-90s than there are in single digits.I think this heat wave is equivalent to temps in the upper single digits IMO.
Mid 90s maybe but I think upper 90s are almost as rare as upper single digits in Atlanta. There's 100% more days in the mid-90s than there are in single digits.
Maybe for Atlanta but places like Birmingham and Columbia it's normal.Mid 90s maybe but I think upper 90s are almost as rare as upper single digits in Atlanta.
Not even for Atlanta , they hit upper 90s most years .Maybe for Atlanta but places like Birmingham and Columbia it's normal.
