Pattern June Presented by: Heat and Humidity

I wasn't home but it looks like my house never made it out of the low 80s and was dumped on! I was in Raleigh where it was dry hot and super humid.

Wilmington teasing me with a glimmer of hope it wont be a total washout.

An upper
low cuts off from the westerlies and meanders/nearly stalls over NC.
The best chance for this rainfall to be heavy comes Monday and
Tuesday as the mid level gyre initially draws the Atlantic moisture
into the area whereas later in the week some dry air may entrain
into the system. Overall there isn`t much low level baroclinicity so
the surface reflection will remain poorly defined, likely preventing
overall higher rainfall totals.

Going to be in Raleigh today through Tuesday and it looks....wet. So much for my day at the beach.

At least it won't be 90. Silver linings I suppose.

Welcome to the sink zone! Go to Snoopy's and get a hotdog!

Both models show at least some rainfall back over my way from Sunday into early next week. Maybe it'll happen. The Euro is overdone with its 20 inch amounts NW of Wilmington though.

Post a pic!

Tough week for vacationers along the coast. Particularly the Outer Banks. I’d need a refund..59326B4F-0367-4ECC-9CB3-882F9C90B4BA.png

The NW trend by then should put it in your backyard Jimmy or does the NW trend only happen in winter

I need a trend one way or the other please. A slight shift offshore would save my vacation and enough of a NW trend would shift the focus away inland hopefully. I need some good mojo on this one.

Sooooooo when is the rain and flooding going to start

Remember a couple days ago when we had thunderstorms in the forecast for 7 straight days? Now it looks like the next chance is Sunday night into Tuesday, and I'm sure we'll miss out on any good storms then, too.

Unfortunately and fortunately that’s how summer is ..hit or miss and random strings of humid summer time pop up storms to random strings of dry hot weather that can pop up at any time .. I think it gives chasing a bit more excitement

I doubt that would be storms at this point anyway prob just areas of heavy rain. Ill tell you what though we are really playing with fire early next week when it comes to heavy rain. Stalled front, high pwats, ESE flow, potential weak low meandering inland from the coast.

Can you say +PNA? If we're lucky, the SE could get a couple of BN days from this days 11-12. Day 10 is still AN/N transitioning on this.
But this is day 10 on an op run and there is a thing called cold bias. So, not betting on BN days 11-12. Just hoping.

I’m enjoying the cool start so far, still hasn’t hit 90 at my house but it has been very close!

Monday has gone down the drain given the change of the ULL position, but Sunday is quite interesting, lots of cold air aloft and some 500mb flow, lol maybe someone can get more hail accums then snow if this holds F983B4CA-AD17-49C2-98F8-7402687BE658.png192A50F6-9F8B-430D-9609-1BF86091B3D0.pngA297354A-8E72-4959-8BC1-EE15B5A20E89.png
