Models are hinting at a potential -nao development after a shot of heat the first few days of the month. We could be looking at a normal to below pattern with above normal rain chances for the better part of the first half of the month. Oh and models are hinting at another potential tropical thingy

Bank it. Exactly 2 years ago we had a trip planned for Carolina Beach and we got locked in with that ULL and it was in the 60s for highs with heavy rain. We go back this year June 16th

Screw that. Schools going to be out for summer soon, time to go to the beach, and it needs to be sunny and in the 80s.

June looks pretty exciting for Eastern Gulf and Atlantic Coast States given that all the Major Models and their Ensembles illustrate a Tropical Flood Threat. GFS, ECMWF, and CMC all have a tropical system emerging from the Central American Gyre, and tracking NE or ENE into Florida or getting blocked into Mid Atlantic by the expansive Atlantic Ridge building over top. And I keep seeing more tropical waves emerging into the Caribbean and Gulf. There was a system last week that dumped torrential rain in S Florida, and the GFS had that system blowing up into a strong hurricane without support from other models.

After a mix of clouds and sun all morning / early afternoon, it has suddenly turned dark with billowing CU. Might have some storms soon.

Because of the mid-afternoon initiation of storms, DFW only made it to 89*F yesterday.
