Pattern June’s Drought Dialogues

Another 3.12 since Friday afternoon. 15.72 since May 1st. So sick of this pattern and 60% to 80% rain chances forecasted for all this week.

Getting a small but pretty potent pop up now. Probably will be quick unless it spreads out or others follow.

Hey Larry, I’m here in Savannah on an anniversary trip. Rain followed me here, and the downtown got hit pretty good with a storm around 7. Hopefully it dries up the next few days.

By the way, what’s a good place downtown to get some great local seafood here? Not too fancy just good local shrimp, blackened, Cajun, fish, she crab, etc? Thanks.

Eastern North Carolina may be in the extreme heat risk category on Thursday according to the NWS weekly briefing. During the week after this, it highlighted June 24-25 as potentially very hot days. At least we don't have to worry about a drought to go along with the miserable conditions to come.

Seabreeze looking cool on satellite. I'm literally living on the line. I can stand in my driveway look north and see Cumulus field and to the south nothing but bright carolina blue skies.

NWS has been way off on their accumulations of rain for my locale! Calling for 1/4 to 1/2 tonight. We’ll see

Looks like this might be the first June since 2021 we don't hit 100 🤔 93-94 is the hottest showing up

I'm still weary of July and August though. I feel like in large part summer has been peaking later

Have to be a little concerned that this upcoming heatwave might be the rare wet heat wave where we don't mix dews into the 50s and 60s during the day. There are some signs we might but modeling as a whole isn't showing it in their 2m products that I could find

I had a great day Saturday in the storm and rain department and it's a good thing I did. I've seen my entire week of 40% at night and 60% or higher chances during the day dwindle down to nothingness.

The dews didn't mix out much last year either.
