At 2:30 the temperature at my residence was 87.8 degrees. We had some cloud cover for a few minutes that might be why it hasn't broken the 90 degree barrier like I was thinking it was going to today.
Been a while since I remember a summer with this high a chance at consistent every day storms.
Had a softball game this afternoon. I can confirm the heat is indeed hot
2pm isn’t even the hottest time of the day. Usually the temp peaks around 4pm. You can add a couple degrees to these temps.
The worst. Sometimes the fan on my unit will get stuck and the unit will just hum. If I flip the breaker at the unit it will reset and work again. This unit is on its last leg and has been for 8 years. Til’ the wheels fall off, baby.Yesterday I walked into my home with a dead AC. (78 degrees inside). Emergency call and $540 later it was fixed. (Some sorta capacitor) It caught up overnight to 68 degrees. It's now 76 in my home. Unit is not frozen. I'll be making a call first thing in the AM.

Smart. I flipped the breaker, but the outside fan would not restart.![]()
90 at the house already, we are going to make a serious run at 100 today
Dang, are you rockin' at about 70% humidity?

Big disagreement on 6Z between Euro and GFS for today’s high at RDU:
-Euro has “cooled” from 850 of +23 to +22 over last 24 hrs for 0Z this evening while GFS has done opposite (now +23 vs +22 yesterday).
-Today’s high 2M temps have followed with Euro cooling from 101 to 97 whereas GFS has warmed from 101 to 103! A 6F difference on day 1 is huge!
-10AM RDU reading was 89. For 10AM, 6Z Euro had 87 while GFS had 88.
-So, advantage GFS right now. When also considering the ~2-3F warm bias of the sensor, I’m leaning to 100+ on RDU sensor for today’s high. RDU is forecasting a high “only” in the upper 90s today, but they may not be taking sensor’s warm bias into account.
Bump it a degree down and set to 59 that should do the trick
This could turn into a repeat of July 1 2012. Outflows caused explosive development that day.Wednesday is probably going to be the once one storm fires and outflows the radar fills up
