Pattern July Fry and Dry

I was wondering if the area of precipitation on the backside of the trough passage would give me some rain. It exceeded expectations putting 1.83 inches of rain in the gauge with light rain still falling. Now I feel better about surviving the dry spell for the next several days that is coming up.

Y'all had to have gotten something earlier didn't you?

I was getting nervous down our way but it filled in nicely and looks like more headed our way. 1.89" today so far.
Nope all the earlier storms were literally a couple miles to my north. Not sure if it was seabreeze related but whatever boundary was north of me was like a wall. Finally got into some rain but never anything heavy.
