Yeah man been really lucky here this month especially the last 10 days. My area south to fayetteville really sticks out when you look at the central part of the state. I bet some areas just west of lillington are well over a foot for the month

Wunderground is screwing with me again, the average for the month is 92 but it had a high of....120 yesterday! I know good and well that ain't right. Jeez. I'll calculate my home's average tomorrow.

I'm now up to an incredible 13.25-15.5" for the month and there still may be more over the next 3 days!! This is near the wettest of the last 20+ years with perhaps only June of 1999 and October of 2016 (Matthew) being wetter.

Well, folks, all good things must come to an end, including July of 2018. These last 3 days of July I got about another 0.75", which brings my grand total for July to an amazing ~14-16"!! This is at most only barely less than I got during the month of Matthew, October of 2016. There is a very good chance that this is the 3rd wettest month here of the last 20 years, trailing only June of 1999 and October of 2016 by only modest amounts. This is a month I won't soon forget and very likely won't be repeated for a good number of years, the big wet month of July, 2018!

July 2018 final stats for CHA:
80.9 mean, +.9 AN. The first half of the month was trending close to 4 degrees AN, last half cooled quite a bit. Rainfall totaled 5.53, a little over a half inch AN. Highest temp was 95(3 times), lowest temp was 66(2 times). On to August.

I am in no way knocking the NWS, just pointing out the irony and difficulty of weather forecasting Lol.... during the first round of rain last week when I had a FFW for 48 or 60 hours I received a total of 1.69. This week no FFW and my county alone has had 5 different flood advisories since Sunday and I've piled up just under 5" with some areas immediately adjacent to me picking up even more

Some Major Cities in the Carolinas rainfall amounts for July. Wow @ the difference from coastal areas and inland areas.
